Recap the logic board and check the ribbon cable. Sometimes, if the ribbon cable is connected the other way, it can cause a white screen.

Ive attached images of PWR, logic and panel board. Caps on logic board looks ok. Ive tried change PWR PCB+logic PCB+cable from similar type LG monitor, where is no white screen symptom. Without success.
It looks as panel board problem, but where or how to find it?

      Thank You in advance.

        1.Assemble all board as original.
        2.power on,
a.check testpoint TP129 voltage (the voltage from AD board =5V)
b.check testpoints VDDG VDDA VEEG VDDD voltage
        29.5V 13.0V -6.5V 3.3V
3.If testpoint voltage is fail ,then check the panel
        IC502 regulator as pic.
(top pin input=5V middle pin output=3V bottom pin =GND )

PS:It is hard to check the IC502's voltage because of the panel's weak FPC.
I solder a wire at middle pin ,then assemble all board , power on ,check voltage.
That's my experience and change the NG IC502 ,monitor works again.

            Dear Duncanbest,
what is the function of IC502 and where can I found the replacement? Ive found the FitiPower FP8805-33, but there is no datasheet.

Re: LG W2241S white screen symptom

It's a regulator with fix 3.3V output (check #4 ,I input the wrong voltage value)

I use a LDO SOT223 to replace . But I forgot the exactly part number.

Maybe LD1117A or AIC1117-3.3 ,there are too many LDOs with the same function.

Package SOT223 with in-out-GND (like pic. top to bottom) @1000mA LDO

Thank You very much! The replacement of IC502 was helped.
                  The LCD works again!!!

Great news, so what voltage did you get from the old 3.3V bad regulator?

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

Hello esteemed gentlemen. I have owned this LCD TV since 2012. The only repair was the replacement of the PSU a few years ago. Apart from that, no issues. Recently, all was working fine until I switched on to see it appear as so. The day before it was working fine. There is sound. Could this be a T-Con board issue? If not, what could it be? Thank you.

My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...
