Noxon iRadio 300 Internet Radio server closed

    hi,

I have this nice Internet Radio and until few days ago it worked properly.
It connect correctly into my local net and works with Pnp features but when I select Internet Radio option it give me a connection error.
I contacted Noxon support and they said that for security reason producer took offline server for these old models.
From menu there isn't a way to set the URL server where the radio pick the list of channels, but I think this info its stored in the BIOS.
Actually I don't have a backup of file BIOS but here there are still original files:
    http://terratec.ultron.info/NOXON/NOXON_iRadio/Update/

On radio there is the firmware update option but if I make a manual check it says that the firmware is up to dated.
    Version software is: ir-mmi-FS2026-0200-0143-V.2.1.11.EX13068-83.

Its really shame to trash a device that still works!
Any help would be appreciated a lot. Thanks

ps if it may help I can dismount radio a look for BIOS chip to make a backup copy of file!

nope, the radio worked always fine so I really didn't care a lot about firmware and I just set to make automatic firmware update.

I try now and I'll let you know.

Re: Noxon iRadio 300 Internet Radio server closed

It seem that in this model its impossible to update BIOS via web interface.

        In the link:
        http://terratec.ultron.info/NOXON
there is a subfolder of all models also iRadio 300 but inside there are just PDF documents.
There is also Noxin iRadio subfolder where there are a lot of infos and also firmware updates and Bootloader so I supposed it was a folder for alls iRadio models but Noxon iRadio is a specific model.
I tried anyway all firmware manager but my model is not compatible with it and firmware update is just trough the radio menu.
There is also a webpage that manage Noxon devices:
        http://www.radio567.com/setupapp/rad...Err=sp1&sAuth=
but if I enter the Mac of my radio it says is not correct.

There is this 3rd part software:
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhyT7dAMeMM

but I can't find anywhere the firmware of my model

i wonder if it's "normal" data and you just need to change the web / IP address to a different server??
a router may be able to redirect that!

i just found this on my GITHUB

I thought to replace target gateway to another within the Firmware and reflash. For this I guess u need window-enabler

                  what is "window-enabler"??
if you can flash the firmware then i think you may just need a hex editor

It takes time but you can flash a new firmware with the software they provide.
It is all online but you have to search for it, the correct path is http://terratec.ultron.info/NOXON/
I did it today for a NOXON Iradio 2 that was sitting from 2007 and it is back to life!

Hi All, I have found way, how to use our dead Noxon iradio. It is not perfect, but it is better than having this radio like a furniture. I have iRadio 300. Here is how I am using it:

                        1. On pc, which is in the same local network as iradio, install X-DLNA, it is freeware.
                        2. Make sure your noxon is connected. If you are on wifi, you have to click "internetradio", it connects to wifi, but shows network error, but it is OK.
                        3. In X-DLNA click on webglobe:

                        4. Navigate to direct stream link like this one: http://s2-webradio.rockantenne.de/rockantenne or try other. Some radios you can find here: https://github.com/schreibfaul1/ESP3...Webstreams.txt
                        5. It plays automatically on PC, but you can stop it.
                        6. Click "Cast via" button:

                        7. Click on play.
                        8. Now It plays from iradio. You can now close X-Dlna, it will play forever, until you do not turn off radio.

                        OPTIONAL:

I am using bookmarks, so I have saved radio stations I am listening:

I have a Delco Model 16194272 radio that came out of my wife's Grand Prix some years ago. I saved it all these years and I'm now trying to use it. It worked perfectly fine a dozen years ago when I took it out of her Pontiac.

I have the wiring harness and diagram, so I hooked it up to a battery and the display turned on. I wired one of the speaker wire pairs to a single speaker to see if the radio works. This unit is not TheftLoc'd. The display read 1:00 right away, but I couldn't get the unit to function much further at all.

The clock ticks away the time, but the power...

Why hot swap server PSUs are derated for lower line voltages
                            by japlytic
I compared two 1200W units (both with active PFC) around the same manufacturing time, an ATX unit and a compact hot swap server unit: the ATX unit had 780uF input DC filtering capacitance compared to 390uF for the server unit, and the server unit had smaller PFC components (and heatsinks) for its size.
Also, the ATX unit was rated at 1200W output under full line voltage range, but the server unit (full rating at 200-240V line input) was derated to 900W at 110-120V input and 800W at 100-110V input.

Typically (in my belief) in a 100-120V region, server rooms have 220-240V mains...

Someone donated a "server" to me, in desktop form, that has Windows Server 2003 installed. It's trying to connect to a domain controller. I bootup Ophcrack and load the encrypted SAM and see an enabled Administrator account and a disabled Guest account.

I'm thinking I could 1) try to crack the password to login into the server.
                            2) Simply erase the password and login the server.

I realize I'd have to do the whole F8 thing to by-pass the domain controller, which we don't have access to.

I have another identical board that has a display issue.. Thinking (hoping) that the firmware is good..

Now to identify the firmware chip...

Inspecting all the chips, an IC # caught my eye..

                            Turns out it's an 16Kbit, 8Kbit, 4Kbit, 2Kbit and 1Kbit Serial I²C bus EEPROM

Would that be my firmware chip???...

I bought a replacement off of eBay, but the seller sent me the wrong part (my board is A13082443, they sent A13072083). The LED header for the board was in the wrong position. The seller refunded my money, so I decided to try to take the LED header off my old board and put it on this new board. Well, the TV powers up, but it looks like this board is configured for the wrong panel type (I looked up the part number and this board is designed...
