It worked perfect. Following your help and a bit worried to desolder chip again I reprogrammed it using then NVFlash64 utility and it works fine.

ah hold on, I didn't say that someone had already touched this chip destroying a pcb pitch but using microscope I was able to rebuild lost connection again, so intsead of desolder the VIBIOS chip I saved original BIOS with NVFlash64.
But if you prefer I can desolder again the chip and save it with programmer (EZP2010). BTW I attach here as well the Nvidia utility I used....Leave a comment:

GPU VBIOS for Razer Blade 15 Advanced (RZ209-033)
hi,
when I power ON this laptop it give me this red warning message:
[B]"the detected discrete gpu VBIOS is not meant for this system, press Enter to continue"[/B]
Machine start and works properly. I was also able to update machine BIOS to last version 1.06.
I attach here a copy of the orginal VBIOS stored on GPU flash memory chip.

I finished to assemble back laptop and apart this RED startup message laptop and operating system works fine.
System shown correctly Intel intgrated GPU and NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER discrete card.
In order to try to fix this error first of all I tried to flash GPU VBIOS with NvFlash64 utility and I was able to save the orginal BIOS and also program back with a downloaded identical BIOS.
Now for Razer Balde 15 Advance the corrent BIOS is this one:

Razer Blade 15 Advanced (RZ209-033) graphic card issue
hi,
this laptop works but temperature rise too much. I dismounted mb and cleaned well. There was a lot of dust inside.
I think that there is a graphic chipset issue because when I power the machine I get this error:
"the detected discrete gpu VBIOS is not meant for this system"
This make me think that maybe the gpu VBIOS has to be re programmed.
BTW someone already worked on this mainboard. Near graphic board there is Winbond flash memory that I think its stored the VBIOS.

Get it, there isn't a phisical button so I shorted it with solder, but nothing. I also tried before to close SW3 shorting BI GATE to ground and next plug battery and insert power adapter. The only thing that happen is that ORANGE LED power on but on battery connector there is just 15,8V with battery and 5V without it.
Anyway for sure SW3 start the cherge circuit becauuse while I was making test happened that orange LED didn't light ON and shorting SW3 make it light on, but currente move just 300mA...Leave a comment:

I dont' see any switch on the board, anyway sounds strange that as you say charcge must to be started pressiing this switch because if charging isnt' working how come that the orange charging LED is on when power adapter is connected?...Leave a comment:

If I put pin5 on GND and next I plug battery and power adapter orange charching LED stay off and same results with power adapter connected or disconnected:on PJP201 battery connector:
0V (GND) on pins 1 - 2 - 5
3,2V on pins 3 - 4
0V on pin 6

Yep before to remove I tested again. Now I removed PQB1 and it just give 0,6V if I put - on PIN1 and + on PIN3. Right now I put back this component and works fine., but battery still doesntì charge....Leave a comment:

ah ok. I didn't understand exactly your first message so I detailed exactly where I made measurment. In the meanwhile following your suggestions I wanted to check better battery so I charghed it directily connecting to power supply. When I put on laptop again and started operating system battery LED was still orange but at the end of operating system turned to blue and battery level showd 100%. So I disconnevted power adapter and laptop didnt' shut off but battery level went down to 99% so I plugged again power adapter and battery LED went orange for like 1 minute and next turned blue again and...Leave a comment:

I think the PUB1 works properly. Also mosfet PQB1 - PQB2 and PQB13 looks good - no shorts. I've a doubt that something doesn't works as expected because +17.4V_BATT_CHG is just 4,9V even if on pin 5-6-7-8 of PQB13 there are correctly 19VLeave a comment:

Laptop isnt' mine and the owner didn't sat me anything but on the internal side of back cover I noticed some trace of possibile liquid and there some little trace of liquid (maybe coffee or coke) on the right side of ram socket . (ref. Nitro5.jpg)
I still didnt' dismount mainboard thing that I finished to make right now.
There were also a great trace of oxide and PUB1 was really in bad condiction. (ref. PUB1.jpg)
I cleaned carefully all and lucky pcb stil looks in good shpe and also PUB1 looks like (ref.PUB1_OK.jpg) ok and doesn't over heat...Leave a comment:

Acer Nitro5 (N20C2) doesn't charghe battery
hi,
I don't figure out why this laptop doesn't charge battery. At first I thought it was the original battery that showed charged at 100% didnt' work at all. So I bought a new battery that is recognized from operating system and shows its charging. orange charge LED is on but keep it under charge dosen't charge! So I downloaded board schematic (Compal LA-L191P rev. 1C) and find out that D-S of PQ 201 give 1.7 ohm no matter if battery is connected or not but gate result insulated from drain and source. So i moved away mosfet and on board short disappear but testing mosfet looks working....
