What range setting on the meter are you using when testing the led. if you are measuring 3.1k and 6.4k you are not using diode test mode.

That on the Ohm range.
Bud asked, to measure it that way as well. This one it was an easy and quick measurement, so I did it.

For light, I was testing on the diode mode.

My garage is a mess right now and there is no power, but I will look for something with a flashlight.

I'm pretty sure that in the past, I have measured an LED and it did light up.

It could be that the green led takes a higher voltage, this chart shows (for 20ma) red 1.8v and green 3.5v https://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/diode/diode_8.html

This simple R/G LED. see page 2, 3. Not going to be 3.5V for this R/G LED.

"The resistance, in one way is 3.1KOhm and the other way, is 6.4KOhm."

That is very low reading, it should be almost open circuit, test your spare LEDs and see, you can also put two RED LEDs (if that is all you have) as shown in t he marked diagram and hook it up to the LED connector, then you should see only one will lights up when the unit is in standby and then another one will only light when unit is ON, easy test.

I have tried, two new LEDs and it is working great. I'm measuring -1.7V, when it is in ON mode, and +1.7V, when it is in Auto mode. Measured between ground and LED.
Thank you everybody, for your help.
I have a cheap, but very good subwoofer, for my garage home theater.

Thanks for the follow-up, just bad LED based on your resistance readings, so now you know what your meter can do when testing the R/G/Y LEDs.
