Take the resistance reading between the legs of c41, c42 to see if it will show low resistance.
You do have 160VDC feeding the +/-11V regulator circuits so may be there are problem in the regulator circuits, the Virtual GND ref circuit, broken traces when new caps are installed. You really need to inspect your works really well, it has to be some bad soldering works some where, The 680uF caps are OK otherwise you will not be getting the 160VDC, if you have doubt then you solder the 470uF back in place just to see.

Bud, I've looked & looked at the traces and they all appear fine to me -- no lifted pads, breaks or shorts. I pulled the 6 smaller caps back off and took a couple of photos (you can zoom to full size to see the details)...

The areas around the pads on the bottom of the board are starting to show some stress but that's probably because I've de-soldered/re-soldered them several times now. They all meter with conductivity/no resistance to the next adjacent pad along the trace. (It's only a dual-sided board so there are no internal layers to worry about.)

What would you think about possibility of me heat-damaging some adjacent component(s) during the initial de-soldering? (The wave solder they used was very high tin content because it was really hard to melt -- I cranked my iron up to 600F during the process). I did my best not to muck around too long with the solder wick, but who knows, maybe I screwed up something along a trace path? Any ideas as to which surrounding components might have been more sensitive to heat?

I keep looking at the schematic (pg 30) and since I'm not getting the correct voltages across C41 and C42 then the problem must be upstream from there, right?

So if you look back a few messages where I list the readings I took you'll see that across C7 I measured -0.41vdc and across C18 I got 1.91vdc -- shouldn't both of those be 12vdc since they are directly placed across the two 12v zener diodes Z1 & Z5?

My guess is that maybe I got too much de-soldering heat around Z5 and "opened" it, so now neither side of the dual-voltage regulator circuit is getting the proper bias on the transistors that follow?

What would be the result if Z5 was "open"?

My HPS-1000 no longer powers up. Fuse is fine and no visible damage on printer circuit board. It has been taking longer and longer to power up recently. I can't locate the manual "Infinity_HPS-1000_Service_Manual.pdf". I am thinking I need Nichicon UHE1H220MDD 22µf/50v as well, but where is C4 and C6 located at exactly, please?

Here is a picture of the plate amp in my HPS-1000. Thank you for any assistance in locating C4 and C6.

C4 is on the power supply board (the left board in your picture), it is next to C54 which is not installed.
C6 is on the pre-amp board (the right board in your picture), it is located to the right of C64.

Is that made in 2001? (If in American date format.) (Year is the last 2 digits, not like what we usually see with electronics today.)

I replaced the C4 and C5 2.2 µf 50v caps with 2.2 µf 100v, which was what my local electronic store has in stock. It won't power up

C4 and C6 are 22uf/50V so why do you replace C4 with 2.2UF? Any way, why do you replace C5? You asked where C4 and C6 are (post 25) so why C5? Did you remove the correct caps and also observe the polarities?

I mistyped. I replaced C4 and C6. The replacements are 22 µf 100v. Replacements were performed by a friend who is more adapt with a soldering iron than I am. He also measured the old caps: old C6 tested at 20.6 and C4 at 21.7. Since they were within spec (20%), he did not have a high confidence level that what he did would rectify the problem.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a Cambridge soundworks p1000 with an indigio bash 1000 amp. It was gifted as the original owner couldn't get it to work. Is a slightly different configuration as the power board is part of the amp board But it's very similar.

It won't power on. I have checked the fuse and it's okay and intact. I have checked continuity from the power cord through the switch and it's okay. Visually everything looks clean with nothing discolored or damaged. There is a cap in the power section that tests open with my esr meter and looks like one leg has slightly leaked some electrolytic . It's a 2.2 uf 450v and I have ordered a replacement. The main power caps test okay. I understand there is a power diode located along one bank clamped to the heat sink.

Anyone know what value? Also any quick tips on where to start looking for issues? The fuse holder does show signs of having been opened.
The tape is over the cap that tested bad. Thought I had one to replace it but not high enough voltage. Waiting to install the new cap to see how far upstream I can see voltages.
