I figured someday once I wasn't a broke student anymore, I would buy myself a nice new SL-1200MK6. I guess I have to make my old Technics SL-D202 last me a lifetime now

Yes, I grew up with vinyl, but now Blu Ray Audio, I think that is what is called, offers a bit for bit identical copy of the studio master.
I would love to see my favourite artists on Blu Ray video and hear a bit for bit identical copy of the master in 5.1 or 7.1.

Technics made servo-based turntables with a extremely low speed error rate.
I've read about laser-based turnables which reads the grooves in a vinyl record, which does not wear out the record at all.My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.Comment

you cant scratch or mix on a laser turntable, and they cost over $10,000 last time i saw a thing about them.

This is antiquated technology... Passing grooves in a plastic disk over metal pin... I know compact disc is based on the same principle, but who needs this except for archival purposes. I keep a Hi8 camcorder stored in case someone asks me to convert their old stuff to DVD, but I'm not about to go out and mourn its demise.Comment

It's about the experience. Buying/selling/trading, collecting, scoring at the thrift shop, visiting a kickass record store. Plus the whole experience of putting a record on is much (ahem) groovier than just plugging in an iPod.
Most of my music is mp3. But I have a small vinyl collection and I listen to it at night once or twice a week in the nighttime. It's my unwinding routine - kick off my shoes, dim the lights, start the lava lamp, and pick a record to listen to.Comment

I have to admit, I did score an SVHS deck at the thrift store a while back. I've taken a fancy to it, mostly, because I always wanted an SVHS deck back in the day. But these days it serves the purposes of giving me the time and for playing the odd VHS video and for VHS to DVD conversion, and hopefully for converting SVHS tapes if I can ever find empty ones on eBay that aren't snatched for such high prices.Comment

Copying DMI information from an old bios to a new one is difficult for some members, often they have no experience with a hex editor,or some that have tried find it too hard.There is an option to make things easier for those members so that they don`t need to post their own bios backup for the DMI copying.
Experienced bios modding members can help by posting in other threads the DMI offsets,macro script generated by the software and a download link to the software at softpedia mentioned in this guide,or post your macros in the comments here with a link to the bios request thread .... -
UPDATE of JANUARY 5th : I am cancelling this post because problem has been solved by creating a new bios starting from the old one with correct dmi and cleaning ME. everything works fine . thanks anyway
Hi, I am replacing a motherboard circus-6050A2723701-MB-A02 to an HP 650 G2 laptop because the original one was faulty. I bought and repaired a used MB which works fine now with its BIOS, but I wanted to copy the DMI data from the old to the new MB. I created with Flash Image Tool a new bios starting from the old original chip , cleaned ME region and new updated dump region extracted... -
i bought a use console from ebay fixed it and it has parental lock. seller wasn´t helpful and nintendo either cause they don´t support used devices as they told me per mail. thanks for the bad support here in germany. was totally upset as i read the answer to my mail from 1 week ago.... there was no other way to get rid of that code rather than modding the console cause i didn´t even had the device id as it´s a patched V1 and for getting masterkey on salthax there is the need to type in the device id which was unknown in this case... i did a mistake. after the repair i entered my wlan and... -
I had recently purchased a used Dell Inspiron 5559 that I had found at a local pawn shop. And of course the system is locked. And I have no idea what the Admin pw is and I have no information for the previous owner.
After many days of research I have found that this system, like many new system, require a Master PW/Code to unlock it or reprogramming of the BIOS.
Contacting Dell Support was a waste of time. They won't give me the the Master PW/Code unless I have the information of the Registered owner that they have on file. They even gave me a link to a page on their...07-12-2021, 04:20 PM -

there is a small company have 4 computers and server with windows server 2016
all computers are entered into the server by local users, and there is shared folders on server with limited access to every computer
my question is there any method to disable copping form all shared folders on this server, but jest disable copy form server not paste on it.
my client want his team copy from their computers and paste on any shared folders on server, on the other way can not copy anything from shared folders to their computer.
or any way to disable copy on windows...
