    Beko microwave oven dead !

Hi guys, how's it going?I hope you're all doing well. So a friend of mine told me that his little oven just dead, no noise like spark or something no blown up, anything just dead. I opened it and on the board control I found capacitor dead (you can see the dirty on the pcb , resistor broken and the rest of capacitor are low value. I
just wanted to understand if existing the scheme for this controller board. Thank you do much for the answer

Most likely, due to the capacitor that leaked, the PWM chip burned out, a short circuit occurred and the inductor burned out, not the resistor...

Thanks, but as you can see, the resistor is broken. The PWM chip seems good, no blown up, and there is no dirty on it. Anyway I hope someone will place here the schematic diagram it will be useful..

I wrote above that this is not a resistor, but a 2.2mH inductor, and it just doesn’t burn out, replace the two capacitors, the inductor and the PWM.

To replace those resistor is a bit problem because the value is not very clear for me, I'm not a master, I'm trying but the calculator of resistor can't find all the colors of that. About the chip I don't think it's going to be a problem i can see clearly the mark on it...Thank you again

the red red red silver part is an inductor,
the chip is easy to get from RS or probably german & french suppliers

Hi thanks for your reply, yeah i already checked all four diode and they are good.... It seems that capacitor shorted and blown up the inductor and the chip...

Toshiba EM131A5C-BS microwave oven- noisy EE16 2.7 mH inductor
                      by valvashon
This poor microwave oven was purchased by my former employer in 2019 (it's a 7/2018 build) and lasted for about 3 months before making a terrible noise when in use. I determined that it was the main transformer and contacted Toshiba. They asked for a picture of the cord cut in half and the serial number, and then credited my boss' credit card. Rather than sending it to the e-waste, I bought a transformer on eBay and thought I'd try flipping it. Discovered that used microwave ovens aren't worth much but in for a penny, in for a pound as they say. It sat in my basement getting kicked and shoved...

Can a microwave oven be used to reflow solder joint?
                      by tmhobadcap
I heard somebody suggested a way of repair faulty led light bulb which I have never heard of. The way is to put the led light bulb inside a microwave oven and turn on the microwave oven for a few seconds. He said that faulty led light bulb is usually caused by poor solder joint between the led and the pcb. Putting the bulb inside the microwave oven for a few seconds will heat and reflow the solder joint making it works again.

Is that possible? I do not want to try this unless I have a spare microwave oven.

(I do not mean to suggest somebody to try this. It may be...

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
                      by double_DD
                      Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Dead Oven Control Board, Possibly Transformer?
                      by Bobby78
Six long years ago, @tom66 helped me save my plasma TV here on BADCAPS, and it's still going strong. Fingers crossed for another win!

I have a Frigidaire oven, rarely used, that I noticed was dead at some point during the summer, possibly after one of the bad storms. The light still comes on when the door is opened, so the circuit has power, but no sign of life from the LCD or the button panel. The control board part number is 318010700 and does not seem to be available any longer from any supplier, but there are companies that will repair them for $150-$200. Obviously I'd like...
