Thanks for the reply... The terminals sharing the same side are dead short.Comment

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
Also found 2n4125...but the package and SMD ID book are both wrong. PBSS5350T makes sense but the voltage on the primary side can reach around 350v dc What does the 38 suggest on it...anyone know?
The two terminals sharing the same side are being provided with .46v and the top pen 0v by the pcb. The main cap is charging to 168vdcLast edited by ShortCircuited; 03-23-2020, 09:12 PM.Comment

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
The 38 is a date code, just because you can get 350v on the primary side does'nt mean that potential is applied to this transistor. The transistor could be used in the feedback circuit or even used as a switch to control whatever is connected to it's collector.Last edited by R_J; 03-23-2020, 09:54 PM.Comment

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
You can trace out the Collector pin to see if it is connected through other component that ending up connected to the circuit ground or positive power supply then you can tell if it is NPN or PNP Transistor; same tracing for the Emitter pin.Never stop learning

ZD are the only letters designating this component? W appears to indicate country of manufacture.Last edited by ShortCircuited; 03-23-2020, 10:54 PM.Comment

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
Red rectangular = MICA capacitor
Three PBA 3002/6 = 75 Ohms resistors (marked as 2 = 75 Ohms) arrays, you can check the resistance.
Four PBRxxxc = Resistor array/network
Two Black disc = may be Thermistor, check the resistance when it is cold and when it is heated up with hair dryer.Last edited by budm; 03-24-2020, 02:38 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
It could be for low side mosfet gate drive, as the turn off transistor.
SMT marking ZDW PBSS5350T PNP 50V 2A(!) low Vce sat. BJT. ZD w-china, 38 as lot/date code.
Nearly everything I probe on primary side is 168vdcLast edited by ShortCircuited; 03-24-2020, 06:42 PM.Comment

Re: Need Help Idnetifying a Component
In OP's CX600 pic I see fractured soldering joints to a through-hole capacitor (at ZD2 pads) that connects to Q10. Did you fix that? Is the +5VSB alive?
OMG this is full of CapXon. The little daughter board uses PFC controller CM6800.

It must be the image that makes it look cracked at ZD2, no caps near it. SB is not alive.Last edited by ShortCircuited; 03-24-2020, 10:45 PM.Comment

by NevilletHi All,
I'm trying to repair a PCB that has some surface mount SOT23 devices that apear to be transistors but testing them on the board are giving confusing results.
Its named FS45 but I can't find a datasheet that seems correct.
The device is used in 10 places on the PCB. In 4 cases they appear to be controling triacs and the attached picture it shows it connected to a BT136 triac with the FS45 connected to the gate leg of the BT136.
Can anyone identify the device and suggest an alternative?
Many thanks.

by eccerr0rI have a SOT23-5 marked
"13D1 S"
I wonder if anyone recognizes this IC? It should be a LiFePO4 protection IC, but having problems finding the datasheet, anyone recognize this?

by dicky96Hi guys
These devices are in some MAG250 IPTV boxes near the power input
I have several faulty ones but they are not all identical
On several I have an SOT23-5 device marked ADSH. Working anti-clockwise from the dot, Pin 2 is ground and pin 6 is 3.3V supply input. Pin 5 is missing of course
On one other I have an SOT23-5 device marked F1HD in the same location but the PCB track layout is different (there are also some extra resistors/capacitors in this area). This one has Pin 1 & 2 ground (I can see they are connected to the same track on the PCB)... -
by dicky96Hi guys
Does anyone know what these two components are?
First one is SOT23 marked LPS 6CB
The other one is SOT23-6 marked S43BbbA

by kromanHello,
I have a C223NA Rev 2.2 motherboard, wont boot. when plugging in power via usb-c, it consumes about 0.160 - 0.197a (see pic)
I put it under thermal cam because I felt a component getting really hot (see pic).
The component has markings G5M, but I am unable to find any values for it, or schematics/boardviews. Ive outlined it in red in one of the attached pictures.
It looks like a SOT23-5 package to me.
Would anyone happen to recognize the markings?
*edit*
actually, i forgot... I was able to find schematics... - Loading...
