    Inductor check

    Hello again folks.
    I found an might-be-broken inductor in my Fox TV. I have 0 experience with inductors and don't know how to check it. It looks like its broken. When I placed it in my ESR meter it shows that it is an inductor (witch means it should be working) but the values measured don't match the one written on it. (or at least I don't know how to read them). Here are the pictures.

    Also, the resistance on it is varying very much until it gets close to zero when I check it with my multimeter.

              Looks like a custom inductor and who knows what's on the heatshrink. 60µH is possible, but I'd suspect less because there can't be that many windings with wire that thick.

              Why do you suspect it bad, inductors usually don't break unless physically broken (varnish melted or smashed)...

                  The printing on that black shrink tube is for the shrink tubing not the value of the inductor.
                  Low DCR of 0.3 Ohms is about right for inductor that size.
                  Bad inductor usually goes open circuit or it shorted turn.
                  May be you should post the problem of your TV including all the details, make and model, and pictures in the TV section to get help.

                      Hi, i have a Lenovo S145 that after 20 seconds shutdown and restart (it's working correctly on thse 20 seconds)
                      everything seems ok, but on Vcore inductor ( this is an i3 with just 1 switching power supply for CPU)

                      there is an output to teh CPU with a spike.. seems that inductor can't handle the input...
                      replaced the capacitor (330) and the inductor (R15) without any change
                      any idea? very thank you!

                      input of the inductor seems as usual... only strange thing is that the upper/lower voltages seems to be 21V (main power line is 19.3) ... but not sure this...

                      Hellow guys , i really need your help here.

                      Lately i have a problem with My TL 866 II Plus programmer, and to be more specific many times on various IC ( Winbond, Gigadevice Mx) i get Check ID Error while i am trying to read the IC. Has already been detected without any kind of problem, but the only to read them is to uncheck every time the "Check ID " option. After that i can read it erase it and re-program it only to get another error at then end saying that can not verify the programing went well so i have program failed.                       So I am trying to repair broken thunderbolt FW on X1 Yoga Gen 2. The EEPROM chip is WINBOND 25Q80DVNIG. I already do a back-up and erase. But when I try to wrote new FW, it was successfull, but when I tried to read it, it still blank. when I try to do a blank check, it gave me instant error in address 0. I already tried two CH341A, already did the 3.3v fix mod, using AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Colibri, and CH341A 1.29. But the problem still occurred. What I did wrong here? Can anyone help me?                       How to read inductor specs?

                      I have a broken samsung galaxy s10 with missing inductor. I want to replace the missing inductor and I have found some vendors. But I don't understand how to read the specifications of the inductor. The specs are:

                      INDUCTOR-SMD;470NH,20%,2520,T0.8,0.029OH

                      I understand that the inductor is 470 nH with 20% margin, and the size is 2520 or 1008 (imperial measure), but what do T0.8,0.0290OH mean? I can't find any explanation on the web.
