Pelco 16045 : PELCO Isopropanol Based Graphite Paint
Conductive graphite paint, primarily designed for SEM sample preparation. The graphite flakes, with an average size of 1µm, are bonded by a cellulose resin with isopropanol as diluent. Good bonding properties on most materials. Graphite content is 20%. Ideal to mount samples on sample stubs or to make a conductive path to the sample surface. Let fully dry before using in the SEM. Maximum service temperature: 200° C. Use Graphite Paint Extender to dilute when needed.
" would think about using conductive epoxy not paint. Its not cheap though."

Mmmmm, maybe you could use some conductive silver paint and some tape to avoid any shorts while applying the paint.Leave a comment:

Re: Help! need to solder the wire to the TAB!
Thank you, I use 400'c iron still can't transform heat to the top of the coupon tape. I try to bond the junk pre solder TAB to the PCB instead of using wires to repair.
PS: If this method works, we can fix most water damaged TV.Last edited by capwizard; 03-08-2017, 09:08 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Help! need to solder the wire to the TAB!
I will have a play with this when I get to back to the workshop as I could do with the practise, I do wonder about the long term reliability of these types of repair though. If you are able I would recommend coming from the via's. The other problem is in exposing the copper track's from the reverse substrate side you are effectively removing most if not all the supporting material.
I will however put some pic's up of the results.Last edited by llonen; 03-07-2017, 07:49 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Help! need to solder the wire to the TAB!
I try to use a junk piece of the ribbon cable to do the job
First I put solder on the junk TAB then try to overlap them together and put heat try to bond them together, because their do have the same spaces.
The problem is the TAB piece is too small to heat it up. I cant use the gas torch, MIG or TIG................Last edited by capwizard; 03-07-2017, 02:08 PM.Leave a comment:

Help! need to solder the wire to the TAB!
55" TV has water damaged on the TAB, after I changed two shorted SMD capacitors, now TV has picture but the TAB has 8 etched copper wires. (Before TV was cut off and T-con board was hot.)
My question is : it is very hard to solder the wires back to the TAB which took me whole day even I was using stereoscope............
PS: I Apologize for the blurry pictures more better pics on the way.Last edited by capwizard; 03-04-2017, 02:14 PM.Tags: None

by DannyxGood day folks. Recently, I started doing more and more alarm system installs which involve dealing with a ton of small wires which are part of 4 to 12 core alarm cable. To make my installs as clean and neat as possible, I twist together the individual wires whenever possible to make braids like in the picture. It takes a lot of time and wears on my fingers really quickly, to the point where I actually developed a blister on my index finger from all the twisting. This got me thinking if there's a tool designed to braid small wires like this. I know there is something for twisting together solid...

by emeskayWe have an Lenovo Yoga 710 15ISK that we use as a secondary laptop. To cut a long story short, around May 2023, while traveling, I connected the laptop into an electrical outlet that was already switched on. Something made a "pfft" sound and the laptop refused to turn on after that. After getting back home, I gave the the laptop for repair to an informal repair person. He replaced the adapter and an internal motherboard part, but after he returned it I noticed that the LCD did not look normal. Essentially, every alternate horizontal line on the screen had gone missing. The laptop was...1 Photo

by wnlewisOK. I got the rocker switch figured out thanks to the good advice on this forum.
Now I need to figure out the correct wire to go to the switch from the broiler element and from the oven element.
This is a Whirlpool RDE3340 electric range.
The common wire on the switch appears to have a high temperature insulating material. I am guessing that both the wire to the broiler and the wire to the oven elements also need relatively high temperature insulation. What do I need to look for? The broiler is rated at about 2400 watts.
Where may I find parts... -
by Geeker007Hi All, I have a 9th Gen Dell Optiplex micro PC motherboard which doesn't power on. When I connect the motherboard with power adapter, it goes into safe mode and turns off. So from info I have gathered online, it looks like there is a short circuit on the motherboard. So can you guys help me with figuring out the issue?
I am new to electronics repair, so my queries could be naive but I am ready to learn.
So I have a multimeter and a solder with me. But I can try to get a variable voltage power supply with a thermal camera as well. From what I seen online, best way is... - Loading...
