Where is the path for the 120 volts to go through the winding and then where ?
Any way the winding would over heat and burn out at full current
The biggest reason for putting one pole contacter is cheapness
I would rather pay $5.00 more for quality any day of weekComment

100% Correct. Really common in GE and Tranes. Replacing a single pole with a double pole contactor can cause damage to the compressor on startup when the compressor oil foams from the freon in the oil causing bearing failure. If you're that concerned with replacing the contactor then you should also put in a temperature controlled belly band crankcase heater to keep the compressor at least 10 degrees warmer than ambient air temperature.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Hi everyone,
I’m working on a Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 1 (Machine Type 20ST-004DUS), and recently replaced the motherboard (planar).
I successfully booted into the Golden Key U1 Tool (v3.5.78), and it launches ThinkPad Maintenance Utilities v1.20(x64) — but my version appears to be missing the full Set System Identification menu (it only shows Add/Read/Delete S/N options).
Here’s what I’ve already done:- The EEPROM has been initialized successfully
- The U1 tool loads and detects the ThinkPad fine
- The current MTM/SN/UUID fields are blank

Hi everyone,
I have a Brother MFC-J480DW printer stuck in maintenance mode (BHL2 USB Maintenance). The screen only shows white bars, and it’s completely unresponsive. The official Firmware Update Tool doesn’t detect it, and I’ve tried multiple versions.
I’m looking for the raw firmware file LZ5313_L.blf (or .djf), compatible with FILEDG32.exe, so I can attempt a manual recovery.
If anyone has a full dump of this model (or a compatible one like MFC-J485DW or J885DW), or knows a private Discord or Telegram group where this kind of firmware is shared,...07-05-2025, 10:53 AM -
Picked this one up today.
In addition to falling LED diffusers there is a single line here that maybe a deal breaker.
From my reading on these boards it is said that the issue is likely a sign of failed tab drivers, ribbons or tab bonding to the panel.
Wanted to get a 2nd opinion from you guys before I gave up the ghost.
Great looking TV otherwise.
Is there any tricks I can do to try to save this one?
If so, i'll gladly order a set of backlights and save this one from the landfill..

Hello all. I'll try to keep this short. I have no knowledge of electronics. I can use a multimeter and am familiar with caps to some extent. I bought a Kenwood KR-6030 vintage stereo. It need work and so I thought I would recap the thing since I get power to the on switch but nothing else is working. No lights, no sound and so forth. I went to Mouser to order caps and I find I am way over my head. I not only do not know the type of capacitors I need but Mouser and digikey do not accept Kenwood part numbers. I have the info such as 220uF 63v and such but no place to put it. I could buy a recap...

I have two Boards BN41-02568B for a UE55MU6179 of which one does produce a good picture (Board A) but can not save its configuration (even a factory reset will not work) and one board which produces a distorted picture (Board B). Learning from here the IC1604 saves the configuration of such a TV.
Before replacing the IC1604 from Board B to Board A - would that actually solve the problem from Board A not being able to store its configuration or could there be something else wrong with writing to the flashrom? Is it even the right chip to replace or should I look out for a different...
