    Re: help copying a Circuit

What are the GREEN and BLACK wires connected to?
What are the two VIOLET wires connected to? It looks like the load is inductive such as relay coil due to the present of D1 for snubber.
What are the value of C2, C3, and C6?
I will draw up the SCH later once I know what are those wires are connected to.
BTW, the bottom side is not focused well, so I hope my tracing is correct.

PCB just to give some ideas, will need cap's values and lead spacings, TRIM pot size and value and maker, PCB required size and mounting info. Shown bottom view and final clean up will be needed.

the two big caps at the bottom is 100uF 35V the mid cap on the side is 2.2uF 63V the two ceramic caps are 103 and the tiny cap is 104, the trim pot 204B6 the size approx 0.8CM, the size of the PCB is 6.4CM X 4.2CM but it can a little bigger. and i am pretty sure that R2,R3,R4 are 2.2Kohm from the pic but tomorrow i will check again.

And i forgot to upload this pic:-) u can see in the pic that the wires goes to a relay, all the wires the violets n the green red n blacks connected to the relay

          Re: help copying a Circuit

I gave you the designators for the component, so "two ceramic caps are 103 and the tiny cap is 104" which are which?
"trim pot 204B6" Is that all printed on the body of the trimpot? 200K Ohms pot?

"the size of the PCB is 6.4CM X 4.2CM but it can a little bigger." there are many unused pads, so you still want it to be bigger than 6.4CM X 4.2CM? What is the exact size do you want?

"u can see in the pic that the wires goes to a relay, all the wires the violets n the green red n blacks connected to the relay" they cannot all go to the relay since the red and black at the bottom are for the power supply. I see the green and the black go to the black terminal. The pictures do not show how the wires are connected to the relay, you need to do better than that by drawing out the wiring diagram.

The Green and the Black are for the Triggering the timer by momentary shorting the Green and the Black wires together to start the timer (Monostable), the time is = 1.1 x C6 x VR1 = the amount of time pin 3 will stay high (RED LED and RELAY = ON).

The two Violet wires should go to the relay coil, it is 12V relay coil based on the pictures.

You should at least read the LM555 data sheet and look at the MONOSTABLE circuit to understand how it works.

First: the ceramic caps are C1 and C5 are 103.
Second: C4 are the tiny cap 104
And yes on the trim pot only printed the "204B6"
For the size smaller is better but i meant that if it cant fit to the "original" size it can be bigger.
For the wires i think it doesn't matter cuz i am gonna replace the cards on the billboards with the old one so i just need to see what connects to what, its not that i need the connect to new billboards.

So how are you going to build the prototype to verify the circuit function and parts' fitting and parts'foot print?

                              by Astonished
                              Hi friends of electronics

What you see in the video and pictures attached is the circuit for charging the batteries of a DC motor.

The problem is that this circuit cannot charge the batteries (3 1800mAH NiMH batteries) any more. When the circuit was OK, its green LEDs lit up one at a time to show that the batteries have charged more. But now that the circuit is flawed, LEDs light up as you see in the video and at the same time successive beeps are heard.

Please help me fix this circuit.

                              Hello friends,

Looking for some guidance here. The RAM voltage circuit on this motherboard keeps burning out PU301 which is a RT8231AGQW. Copy of the board with the burnt chip attached with some voltage measurements and copy of the schematics also included.

I think I've checked almost every component in the circuit, but when I change the RT8231, the laptop starts I have 1.2V on the inductor for about 10 seconds and then the RT8231 goes south and no more voltage on the inductor. All other voltages on the laptop are good, this is the only one conking out for a reason I...

                              Short Circuit tester
                              by Tarot Superstars
                              Hello.
I have seen a short circuit tester made with 3 * 9V batteries, a voltage limiter component and a resistor connected to the probes of a multimeter.
The theory is that the meter becomes sensitive enough to read very low resistances and the lowest resistance to ground on a circuit is likely to be a short circuit in that area.

My multimeter isn't normally sensitive to very small resistance, but when I put a 1 mega ohm resistor...

Is it possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue meter?
                              by chth96
I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that

"In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

Is it really possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue...
