    another ESR meter thread

i'm wanting to buy the blue esr meter, but at $100 its abit much. though can anything of the same quality be had for under 50?

and does fluke or someone make a dmm with esr capabilities? because my dmm is really quite terrible. 20vdc range quit working and its not a true rms. so i'd rather spend $250 on a dmm with esr than $250 on admm eventually and $100 on an esr meter

and about them 15$ cheap ebay ones, are they effective and work in-circuit?

I bought one of the ebay cheap ones and it works great for me. I don't use it in-circuit. I recycle caps from motherboards and it gave me a quick check if they are any good. I don't need exact measurements, just whether it is good or bad.
