So what? If it works, which ivtec say it does, than why bother to get a more expensive one on some list? It does not matter.

My capAnalyzer 88A can't measure any thing lower 104 - 0.1 microfarad

I have a MESR-100 v2 and I have had no problems with it at all. For a meter that costs a little over $50 I think it gives you the most bang for your buck. It actually works for testing ESR while the cap is in circut too. I know there are instances when in circut testing is totally impossible but for the most part it works great.

And you tested in field ....?

ST5 use several technics ... Gold tweezers
And inside ... so maybe the range is ok ... but in the field.

I have ST5 and tested in many components ... is better, and compare to HP

About four years back I thought also that I own great tools, but none of them were listed in the accepting list of those calibration - verification centers.

I use this one and in conjunction with fluke 87 it's a great tool

About four years back I thought also that I own great tools, but none of them were listed in the accepting list of those calibration - verification centers.

If no one accept to verify your tool as healthy, then you better not buying it.

The company name is not important

So all capacitors of the same specification are of the same quality, no matter if they are Panasonic or el-cheapo Chinese junk? Right...
