by sam_sam_samI have had these 70 watt high pressure sodium yard lights for many years now probably at least 15 years or more and there is a protection diode that after several years starts to go bad and when it does this it has momentarily shutting down the light and then a few minutes later it starts working again
This about the forth time I have fixed this one and you can tell if it the diode or not if it lights up and it only shuts down when the air conditioner turns on then it is the diode
If it cycling on and off constantly then it is the bulb itself that is the issue

- If the device is then placed into heating mode and then back into cooling mode, the lower fan and compressor kick in and start cooling, but the upper fan still only spins slowly.
- If the device is placed into fan-only mode, the upper fan does not respond to low/medium/high speed toggles - just keeps running slowly.
- Display and buttons all behave normally aside from the

by GjacksonHi all,
I have an air conditioner outdoor control board that I'm trying to understand how it functions. In short, the board takes in 240VAC and splits it into 4 other wires, 2 of these go to power the indoor unit and another 2 go to power the outdoor unit module board. the 310VDC capacitor bank on the outdoor control board get charged up from a rectifier on the outdoor module board. Now what I can't wrap my mind around is the fact that there is a relay in between the 2 mains wires that go from the outdoor control board to the outdoor module board which is normally open, what this... - Loading...
