aeg 12v lithium battery broken

hi all
i am new to this forum and have many questions about quite a few things and intend to learn a lot
but yesterday my thithium battery stopped charging and charger indicates broken battery
i opened the battery to see if i could replace the cells with with a bigger ah
i tested each cell to find that they read 4.13 4.15 and 4.11 this seemed about right so i investigated further to find that the strap from 1 battery to the other had broken so i solered a whire across the twothought this would be the fix
it was notthere are 3 cappasitors 1 temperature sensor and somthing on the side that i havent uncovered yet as i think 1 of the cappasitors has a ground fault
my quesion is how do i identify the offending object

Who make this battery pack

If this is Milwaukee M12 battery pack

There is something you should know about these battery pack if the voltage
different between cells more than ( [0.25 ] volts it will not charge this is not a misprint )


Battery Load.................>>>

You need to test these batteries one at a time you need a 12 volt 50 watt bulb and a volt meter

Each battery need to read about the same voltage and different can not be more than more than ( [0.25 ] volts between cells
if it is more than that then these cells are weak

battery it is showing as broken in the charger

Do you have a spare battery that shows good to know if the charger is working right

it seems to be a bit out of balance.
i bet the broken joint caused the management chip in the pack to shut down.
some can be reset.

thanks for the replys
the battery is made by aeg witch is somthing to do with Milwaukee i think
i do have another battery and the charger is working fine
it was a broken connection that stopped it working but i have soldered a bridge across the breakage
i will check the voltages of the batteries
just throwing this in there how about if i attach a small fan and wait till all batteries are dead then do you think they will recharge

Maybe but do not count on it....> "do you think they will recharge"

" wait till all batteries are dead then ".....> This is not a good idea you need to only discharge them to a voltage of 2.8 volts and no lower than that
