    What size is this resistor?

I'm used to seeing impedance specs which I understand, but I'm not understanding anything about this resistor besides the package, 0201. For reference, this is beside the backlight driver on A2289 macbook, board 820-01987.

You need to show context in the schematic. I think it's just a 0Ω dummy shunt/jumper.

It's a 0Ω resistor. LP8548 boost converter for LED backlight requires at least 1.2V on the EN pin to turn on.

            it's pretty clear to me.

1/20th of a watt - would of been nicer in decimal, fucking apple!
5% tolerence - cheapest variant, fucking apple!
MF Metal Film - none of that carbon bullshit
0201 = too small to work with unless you have a microscope!

                Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size
                by m1ch43lzm
                Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

Dell 2209WA - power supply - Fusible Resistor replacement
                by jinu_j
                Hi

I am trying to repair an ancient Dell 2209WA Monitor which suddenly shut off with a pop sound. On investigation found that one of the fusible resistors had blown. Further investigation identified multiple components as faulty because of which the fusible resistor blew. Please refer the attached circuit diagram showing the components that were found to be damaged.

                1. FR950 - blown fusible resistor - 0.2 Ohm 1W
                2. Q950 - shorted Q950 MOSFET - 650V 10A N Channel Mosfet
                3. R835 - Blown Resistor - 20KOhm SMD resistor
                4. D930 - Shorted Schottkey Diode...

Need help to replace burned resistor in 350w atx psu
                by mikey5791
                Hi to all forum members,

Got this faulty 350 watt atx psu dirt cheap from a local online seller as i am keen to use it as a learning tool to repair faulty power supply.
The faulty part is quite obvious from the burn area near the 16pin KA7500 BD pwm. The fuse is still intact with good continuity.

Upon power on ac, there is 5vdc standby power on cathode of diode D14 and about 10vdc on cathode of diode D13.(This should be the aux power to generate the 12v and 5v rail.)
Initially i replace the two burned resistors near my marked red arrow to 200 ohm resistor...
