    Have you inserti the correct parameter i(com1, baud rate. Etc) ? If you use a com adapter fine it in device manager -> preperty ...... and change the parameters

    I seem to have run into another issue. When I try and open a COM port to my ACHI IR6500 via a USB to USB cable to a windows 10 laptop, I get an error message that say "port COM1 does not exist" When I plug the IR6500 into the laptop it does seem recognize it. If I could get some help on resolving this issue I'd greatly appreciate it. This is my first rework station and I'm just trying to get it up and running. Thanks for your time.

    See the pic, on pin 9 and 10 ( not remove the thermocouple cables), connect these outputs to pins 16-17 of the altec

    from rex disconect negative on ssr out (pin 5) and connect to pin 7 (out 2) on altec, connect pin 6 from altec (out 2) to negative pin on ssr

    Hello all. first time poster. I downloaded the Psoft software. I am on windows 10 and can't seem to figure out where to put the language file so the application will translate to English. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Funny, I just did a small c program yesterday to access the Altec PC410 with *nix os. I will publish it in the coming days on Github. Had one in my BGA rework station but bought another for a ceramic kiln.

    It's a basic application to communicate with the controller so you will need to wrap it in a scrip or other if you want a full control software. My goal was to be able to record/plot the heating curves and view them in HTML..

    Will post the github project when on-line.

    This is interesting, indeed those machines you linked look pro, i have seen them before, but that price tag... It is maybe applicable for large service centers doing warranty contracts for one of the big brands.

    When you're doing 8-10 year old laptops for $60 a job (and that's best case, a lot of times here you have to work for less or the client runs away ), and you're getting 10, maybe 15 rework jobs a month... you're gonna recoup that investment in over 2 years, which is a long time when your country is currently governed by thieves, all prices are rising and pay is less and less.

    I never said all IR machines are bad, we are talking about the affordable Chinese rework stations here. Even if i had that kind of money to spend (there's a chance i never will), i would invest it in a different kind of business.

    I do not know if there is software that can help you, if you have the time and know a programming language like the C on the altec site in the download section there is a document about AL808 that has the same communication protocol.

    Temperature monitoring on a hot air station is more accurate since any accidental airflow from a door opening or closing or someone moving around does not disturb it. The airflow of the heaters creates pressure pushing the BGA on the board, ensuring a sturdy connection and eliminating the risk of the BGA package warping, and i don't need to stick any of that pesky aluminum tape anywhere (except securing the thermocouple) as i can change the top heater nozzle to suit the size of the chip. While developing the profiles i have experimented with various boards, including one that has the PCH right next to the CMOS battery holder. There was absolutely no deformation on the battery holder, with no aluminum tape to cover it. This would have been impossible with an IR machine because you can't exactly replace the top plate for every size of chip.

    IR is better at replacing big parts with plastic in them, like slots, connectors and sockets, because you can get large top heaters relatively cheap.
    You have right but both technology works well if the machine is build well.

    This software is made only for use with bga rework machine as achi or similar , with a modified hardware. Other use are not recommended.
    The goal of this software is that it can drive the bottom heater directly with the thermocouple placed directly on the bottom layer of the motherboard in the same place as the thermocouple on the top heater.
    I don't know your purpose about it's use

    I contacted Microsoft and they said they do not have software to where you could backup all your files to one drive. I mean you can copy some of your files to your one drive folder and back stuff up. However, it does not do this automatically.

    I have around (10) hard drives I want to backup to the cloud with One Drive. What is the best software to do this with?

    Hi everyone.
    There are some topics here (also on a lot of other places) regarding this issue, but I believe none has a definitive answer. At least I didn't see anyone saying it really worked for them.
    In my case I have an iMac A1418 (late 2012) that the fan goes full blast (or at least ramps up the speed) after going to sleep or turning the computer off.
    It's not a software issue, cause it was formatted and it happens with any MacOS version I test.
    At some places people say it would be an issue with the S5 rail. Others say it's the S0 rail. And some others say it's an SMC...

    JVC LT-55C870(B) Corrupt Software??

    Hi,

    I have a JVC LT-55C870(C). All that happens upon applying power is the red led flashes slowly (1Hz).
    If I hold the OK on the remote while powering on, the led flashes at 2Hz, but without a USB Device attached, it obviously does nothing, no screen or backlight.

    Any thoughts on this being corrupted software?

    Owner says the TV experienced a power surge.

    If software is a possibility, can someone point me in the right direction to download the correct software. Is there a procedure to force software to load from USB?
