Please revamp this to work better on Windows 10 /11 Also a better description of the functions would be great. There is no other software out there that controls these machines this well!

Hello and thank you for your contribution, I really appreciate the time you took to create this software.
I think, for me, the ability to control two PC410 controllers together (select profiles for both and run at same time, plot graphs for internal and external thermocouple of both also) would be a great improvement.
Maybe this is a niche use case because I know many stations only have one PC410 but my Honton station uses two PC410 modules to control top and bottom hot air, plus the usual REX-C100 for the plates.
From factory only the top PC410 had serial comms but I swapped the bottom one for a serial-enabled unit too and added another db9 connector.

I think this would be a great way to give more control over units with a similar configuration and make them closer or maybe even better than some of the newer units that use all-in-one control units (and usually some large screen) instead of the PC410s

It depends on which chips you solder and with which configuration of the soldering machine. This software allows you to use the pc410 controller together with the c100 with a more user friendly configuration. If you have a soldering station with these two controllers you can benefit from it above all because you have a complete view of the profile. Obviously when setting the profile you must take into account the real power of the heaters because if you ask for too much the curve in relation to the time is not respected, this especially if you do not use air but diffuse infrared. The use of increasingly thinner bga chips and increasingly subject to distortion (rectangular cpus) requires completely different and much more precise and sophisticated soldering machines in the management of pick and place, these machines have dedicated software as you well know and are largely automated. Personally I no longer solder bga components except for some pch for various reasons.

Can you please give me your opinion on the program
By the way, I didn't think that this software would be used all over the world

Best wishes for the new year 2025

To get this setup working for me on a windows 11 machine, I had to run a VM with Win7. After installing the USB driver from the CD, and PSoft, I then had to change both the com port settings and PSoft settings as Psoft was set to 19200 baud, but my machine handles 9600 better. On the windows side, I had to set data bit to 7, Baud to 9600, and parity to even, as well as select COM1.

it works flawlessly in the 7 environment, but my windows 10 machine refuses to see anything, and windows 11 actually shows an error for the driver, claiming it is not compatible (though it connects to the 7 VM on the 11 machine just fine!) Thank you for the files and breadcrumbs!! I hope someone else finds this info useful!

Changing the data bit to 7 worked for me. Just a heads up, the "Com Open" in the bottom left hand will flash green when it's connected to your PC.

The Psof software was created to obtain that the real temperatures are as close as possible to the solder profile when using a machine with both top heaters with ceramic IR technology. In other cases it is not so necessary
This is a profile I use to solder medium bga as hm170, etc with an IR-pro modified.
i have your profile and i have one probleme i dont now whi not finish the profile how i have 2xx finish and is not the finish of curve ... i dont understand this i go make one photo if any here

    Thankksssss

My AHCI PRO SC has originally wired REX SSR via Altec. But whatever setting I use OUT2 on Altec is always on when program is running. What can be the cause?

Yes but the "original" software don't turn the controler on if the value is 0.00 ...

It recognizes it like STEP to alow the bottom heater to preheat the MBO ...

Generally speaking ramp up or ramp down have to have some type of value to work correctly
Generally speaking ramp up or ramp down also have a minimum to a maximum limitation of some sort

In most controllers you have to set up these parameters for them to work correctly

Finaly made it to work OK ...

The R1 - ramp 1 should not be 0.00 then the error appears ...

Put it to 0.5, then should all be OK

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    Any advices ???

Copy DMI info easily with Hex editing software and Macro script
    by SMDFlea
Copying DMI information from an old bios to a new one is difficult for some members, often they have no experience with a hex editor,or some that have tried find it too hard. There is an option to make things easier for those members so that they don`t need to post their own bios backup for the DMI copying.

Experienced bios modding members can help by posting in other threads the DMI offsets, macro script generated by the software and a download link to the software at softpedia mentioned in this guide,or post your macros in the comments here with a link to the bios request thread ....

How to create a profile for ACHI IR PRO SR (my first time with BGA machine)
    by moscast
Hi everyone, I recently purchased a BGA machine (ACHI IR PRO SR, 2400W IR Bottom and 450w IR Upper) but I don't know how to create the processing profiles. I need to desolder a faulty GPU on a laptop.

As software I was thinking of using this:

Can anyone tell me the most suitable or common heating curves for soldering and desoldering?

Backup To OneDrive Software? Everything! Best Software?
    by NeedsPractice
I contacted Microsoft and they said they do not have software to where you could backup all your files to one drive. I mean you can copy some of your files to your one drive folder and back stuff up. However, it does not do this automatically.

I have around (10) hard drives I want to backup to the cloud with One Drive. What is the best software to do this with?

    AOMEI Backupper
    I Drive
    Easeus

I do not want a Cloud Plan. I just need the software to take my DATA and Transfer it to the cloud in a nice, readable, viewable fashion. I wish...

iMac fan ramps up after shutting down. Software? SMC? FET?
    by BMCappelletti
    Hi everyone.
There are some topics here (also on a lot of other places) regarding this issue, but I believe none has a definitive answer. At least I didn't see anyone saying it really worked for them.
In my case I have an iMac A1418 (late 2012) that the fan goes full blast (or at least ramps up the speed) after going to sleep or turning the computer off.
It's not a software issue, cause it was formatted and it happens with any MacOS version I test.
At some places people say it would be an issue with the S5 rail. Others say it's the S0 rail. And some others say it's an SMC...

    JVC LT-55C870(B) Corrupt Software??
    by Russ17
    Hi,

I have a JVC LT-55C870(C). All that happens upon applying power is the red led flashes slowly (1Hz).
If I hold the OK on the remote while powering on, the led flashes at 2Hz, but without a USB Device attached, it obviously does nothing, no screen or backlight.

Any thoughts on this being corrupted software?

Owner says the TV experienced a power surge.

If software is a possibility, can someone point me in the right direction to download the correct software. Is there a procedure to force software to load from USB?
