samsung LN-S4051D diagnal lines

have diagonal lines, have solid red standby, comes on makes the little samsung noise, tried a different tcon, gave exact same screen image, can't get a menu, using a samsung remote from a different tv, not sure if that matters, wonder if it's the a board?, Thanks.

tried mute 182 power for reset, not sure if that's correct, same results.

try in standby info/menu/mute then power on tv to access service menu

ok, tried info menu mute power, same screen, can't get a menu, thanks sordids999, do you think it might be the a board?

when I try to open the electotanya manual, I get "windows needs to know what program created it" I still don't know how to sort that error out.

I did notice on the a board the 2 caps, one on each side of IC401 are curious, I can see the x but they don't look broken.

anyone know if those are easy to replace or is it more of a challenge than replacing caps on g board, Thanks.

he two caps appear to be plug in type, there's no legs through the back, wonder if I can just pull them off?, Thanks.

numbers on cap: 81425, 470, 16t, they appear to be snap in, having trouble locating a data sheet, thanks.

Those are not "snap in" caps they are surface mount and they are probably ok and not your problem. Try heating the main board with a hair dryer and see if anything changes.

oops already removed them, ordered 2 from digikey $6.31, i think I got took, waiting on them, thanks for reply.

heated main board, no change, replaced those 2 caps from main, same condition, they mustve been good, x was showing thru, figured they would need replaced sooner or later.
