Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
But there is no point in doing it like that. You can't program eeprom without using a SPI programmer anyway. So just get a programmer and read it with that.
The other way would be decrypting the password but good luck with that (and share knowledge if you succeed
)

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
My Problem is, that i tried serveral Times to dump the BIOS with the CH341a Programmer and all dumps are faulty. But there is no point in doing it like that. You can't program eeprom without using a SPI programmer anyway. So just get a programmer and read it with that.

The question is, can someone Check my dump that i created with the Tool. will this dump Work to Flash them?Comment

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
Then you need to deal with why it turns up faulty. If you can't read properly, you can't write properly.
What you have to do is:
*Disconnect battery
*Connect charger
*Turn on laptop (Go to F1 screen or whatever you like, doesn't matter)
*Turn off laptop using the power button and DO NOT disconnect charger
*Attach soic8 clip to eeprom
*Read bios.
*Mod bios.
*Write bios.
Turning laptop on and off is very helpful on HP-s.Comment

After programming, Power on laptop and let it power cycle a couple of times. This is CleanME BIOS also so you need to wait for it to finish everything...Attached FilesLast edited by razor_amd; 12-07-2019, 10:13 AM.Comment

by to5it0Need Clean BIOS/EC Bin File for Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e - Stuck with 0275 Error CMS
Hello everyone,
I am attempting a repair on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e that is currently stuck at boot with the error: "0275 error CMS" even after setup new bios battery and will not allow me to enter the BIOS/Setup.
This is a critical issue that I believe requires flashing the BIOS chip directly using a programmer (e.g., CH341A/RT809H), as standard software updates or resets are not possible.
I have opened the laptop and identified the main BIOS chip...2 Photos-

by zeniusHello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...-

by CityminHi all,
My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
(I've tried removing the battery and resetting the device, but the issue persists.)

by m1ch43lzmHi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...-
