recover data from micro sd soldering wires

hi, dunno if this is the right thread place, but im wondering if someone had a problem with an sd by recognized after about 30 mins , but unable to recover data even after 1 hour..... on mobile phone it isnt recognized and phone ask for a password (it didnt had any kind of password set). i tried already all data recovery, but i think more i use the sd more it will get damaged. even after pc see the capacity, program lfor data recovery stay at 0% scan after 1 hour, so i left qnd quit the process.

now im asking if any of you know how to solder wires on sd and what i need to connect to pc. ive seen some video, but or they are adapter u need to buy and are not cheap, or some arduino homemade reader, but cant find any schematic or good guide to look at.

Re: recover data from micro sd soldering wires

wikipedia has the pinout for all sizes and types of sd cards: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SD_card#Transfer_modes

however, it looks like the issue is that the card has failed and all the data is gone and corrupted. data recovery from failed flash mem devices is very difficult and most likely impossible because the data has drifted by one or a few bits due to voltage drift corrupting the data bit levels so u'll most likely end up with garbage data. thats why im still sticking to spinning rust for all my personal data archiving purposes.

tnx for reply... i was talking about something like that :

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjB6wliyE_Y

and looks like it will get almost all data on the damaged sd. ive seen also using arduino as reader, but dont have any schematic, tutorial or so to make it and give it a try.

you could freeze the card and then dump it as a sector-dump with DD in Linux.

                          by Taurus12
Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same

I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.

i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights

Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance

Elitebook 840 G5 Bios Chip Soldering Question
                          by Azurain
                          Hi everyone,

I have an HP Elitebook 840 G5 that I am trying to get working again. I've removed the front bios chip (the 32mb one) and have run it through HP unlocker already. I've uploaded and verified the new bin, but am now experiencing an issue that has led me to believe I've been soldering the chip back to the motherboard incorrectly.

Essentially, after re-soldering the chip back into its place and reassembling the laptop, the charging light immediately flashes orange and white and then shifts to a solid white. The capslock and numlock lights blink seven times...

DIY: Modified smart charger for all types of batteries
                          by dbuergi
                          Hi all,

sometimes i'm in need of a charger / tester for very small batteries and even if my multimeter doesn't show anything there is a chance that a smart charger helps to revieve. I'm happy with my Keenstone smartcharger and i made a small mod just to use it with smaller batteries like in smartwatches or even camera batteries with special contacts.

Soldering wires on the charger contacts and using needles as probes. I covered both with a shrink hose with integrated solder.
My first work was to bring my Samsung watch battery back to life with was not recognized...

                          Hi.

I'm posting this here in part as a memo to self as well as to describe the procedure I used in case anyone else found it useful. I found a lot of the necessary information to make this work on this forum and I figured I would give something back. If this is not the appropriate place to post this, I don't mind it being deleted but I hope it can help other people.

I got an admin password locked HP Elitebook 840 G5 recently that I wanted to unlock. I'm a relative newcomer to reprogramming and unlocking firmware. The only previous experience I had was unlocking a BIOS...

Hi there all, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Looking for advice, Need to restore/fix the damaged Acer Aspire 514 -54 power circuit pathways.

I am not good at reading schematics and have difficulty finding the board viewer schematic or simple schematic for damaged parts, but I have all the tools and experience for micro-soldering. All I need to figure out is which ends (from-to) and trace wires to restore lines.

Hope the pictureS are clear enough to see the problem...
