Optiplex 3050 Micro Problem: Always need to reset Cmos if unused for atleast 1 day
Hi good sir, I have an issue with my optiplex 3050 Micro having issue with the CMOS battery. Everytime the unit is unused for atleast a day, the next time you turn it on it will no longer display. So what I alwatys do is to removed the powercable and CMOS batt for a few minutes put them back again and turn ON and will now display again. I have tried many times replacing the CMOS battery but the issue still remains, does anyone has the same issue as mine? Please help me how to solved this issue and I already updated the bios version to the latest one so I no longer know what is causing the issue.... -

Hi Dynax thanks for the response. Actually, I have save the original bios file before I reprogram the bios chip, the prev issue was it will boot to Bios setup but it really take time before it boots and when ever i exit the bios settings it will try to restart but din shuts down and will never turn on again. For me to turn it ON again is to remove the powersupply and cmos battery for a couple ug minutes din try again, sometimes it boot faster but then again once you exit bios settings i will try to restart and shuts down again even if I have a ssd with working OS

Optiplex 3050 micro 2 blinks followed by 3 blinks issue
Does anyone have an idea of what might be the issue with my 3050 micro? I have tried replacing new cmos battery but still the same
I am not sure if its the powersupply that I'm using is the issue since its the original powersupply. its a laptop powersupply with the same specifications with the 3050 micro so i guess it should be fine.
i also tried replacing the bios but with no avail, everytime i try another bios it gives a different blinking lights
Any recommendation on what I have to do next? Thanks in advance -

I hope you can help huhuhu..issue is that e boots to bios screen but when you exit it turn off and will not turn ON again already replace Cmos battery with new ones but same issue...Leave a comment:
