Most new motherboards don't use -12v anyway, and software voltage monitoring is never accurate.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I know the thread has moved on but thought Id add this anyway

Corsair PSU's are made by Seasonic,

Not all models are of Seasonic build from what I understand
HX620W is and I think the HX520W too

The VX TX is apparently CWT build
( using chemi-con KZE series by the looks of it from photos)

Still, from what I understand a solid build

The -12v supply must be loaded to get within spec

Which still allows for +/- 20%

Only serial ports AFAIK use the darn thing anyway... Guess it might be routed to the PCI ports aswell but I doubt it

If the PCI or PCI-X is a 5v version (32 or 64 bit) then -12v goes to it.
If it's a 3.3v version it doesn't.
