    VGA extension cables

    Hello Everyone.

I just bought a monitor extension cable and when I use it, I can see some ghosting. Not a lot, but I can see it. The text on my screen is still very clear and readable so i am fine with that part.

Every shop I have looked at sells the exact same cable as this one so theres no use exchanging it for another one or getting a refund.

I just wonder if this slight ghosting is harmful for my 15" CTX CRT monitor??
The cable from the monitor is 10mm diameter but the extension is only 8mm.... is that why this ghosting is happening??

There is also a very small (not even visible) ghosting line down the center.

I can't complain too much since I got the cable for only $8AUD at a large electronics store near my place.... they are usually $13AUD (at least) at other places for the exact same cable.

    Thanks.

quality of that cable is the problem. only designed for low res. Poor shielding too.
The high res/refresh extensions exist, usually much thicker, with ferrite cores at each end.

      What WNG said!

The cheap VGA extensions will blur the display.
