best vp6 overclock of all time?

i have been doing a cost no barrier rehab of a abit vp6.
all lytics are now high quality jap.
    tc's custom bios.
    kingston gx150 ram.
all lytics on vrm outputs and the mlcc around the sockets paralelled with 470@4v tantalum/polymer chips and mlcc's.
psu is a fortron 350w with the same cap treatment.
    solid cu hsf's.
polymer/tantalum/mlcc ultra low esr chips bypassing all supplies.
hitting this vp6 with everything i have that improves ripple and regulation.
stage 1 is running 2x p3 933 at stock vcore at 150 fsb.
folding, playing nws java radar loops and folding 3 days now without the slightest glitch.
so what was the all time best without all these hotrod parts?

Forgive my lack of Intel knowledge, but what do those P3s usually run at?

i have two vp6s each running 1ghz cpus. one of them won't go past like 1025 or something like that. the other will go up to almost 1100. they both have cu heatsinks as well as polishing all four cpus and heatsinks. i was really bored.

i remember lapping celeron slugs in the bp6 days.
idea is not to polish for looks but to get both surfaces as flat as possible for best heat transfer.
well are 0069 and i the last to care obout the vp6?

Wow, very nice work and excellent results! I've made several BIOS's for that board, I think that one has Tualatin microcode in it, so a tually will run with the powerleap adapters.

Keep us posted on its stability!!

BTW, I have a couple tough dog VP6's I'm going to send to you to play around with.

                      nope.
it runs cool with the air coming from the cpu coolers.
i do have a pair of p3 s 1.26 and some lin lin sockets to play with though.

I think I'll take you up on that offer. I had my VP6 running as a server, but I've since moved its data to another system and freed it up. I'm curious to try this now.

                          Greatest job EVER!

                          I have several questions:

1st - Do those MLCC need to be soldered to those VRM cap joints? and why exactly, I see this type of modding for the first time.

2nd - Those big caps around VRM and other parts are polys?

3nd - (an opinion) I really recommend swapping the chipset HS, it runs cool because it does NOT conduct heat pretty much - I wasn't able cross the 166MHz FSB without changing it, brushing the surface plain clean and adding some paste plus glue for a new and quite heavy heatsink with an active cooler - solved temperature mystery of mine.

4th - Ehm, I suppose with THAT modding you pretty sure reached a stable 175MHz at least . Anyways what's new in TC's bios updates? Mainly is the limit of 178MHz FSB pushed farther?

                          GREAT WORK again!

                              I tried something similar for VH6 - 2

A bit high voltage. Could work at 2.0 with no prob. Really cold chips.
                              And stable as a rock.

YEAH! Slovans rule with Abit boards in terms of OC.

Anyways - OH MY GOD!!!! 204,05MHz FSB?!?!? Are you trying to kill me? How could you possibly crank it up so high? Is your board recapped / using very tall capacitors (thus raising the ESR) ? Anyways GREAT SUCCESS!!!

Pictures of the setup would be welcome!

Yeah. Recapped, some lytics, and some polys. Lots of ceramic & smart placement !
Changed power mosfets. Ice cold at 2.2V !

Also raised chipset voltage to 1.8V

I need turbo PLL for more clock. hehe. I could go 230 easily !

Really really stable board once you add proper caps on it.

I will post pictures if you want to see them. Do you ?

Board was recapped specifically for purposes of overclocking !

                                          Hi guys,
I post my problem here because I think it could be a capacitor related issue (Asus support on this particular subject is non-existing).
So the computer is a Zephyrus-S17-GX735LXS-26T and the strange behavior is seen.
On cold start most of the time the internal screen is detected and a picture it works fine until shutdown, sleep or deep sleep.
Then the screen won't work for a long period of time.
If I wait 1 or 2 hours it work again most of the time.
When it doesn't work the batterie indicator blink 3 times white stop and the same schematic is repeated...

Adding a clock battery to action camera to retain date&time when changing batteries Campark X25
                                          by flat-earther
I have a cheap action camera with an annoying trait, every time I change batteries the date & time gets reset and I have to set it again.

To solve this problem I want to add a small internal battery inside it which will keep supplying power to the camera for a while while I change batteries so the date & time is retained.

I have opened the camera and I think there is enough room to add something inside to accomplish this:

The camera is powered by a 3.7V nominal single cell lithium ion battery.
So I need to connect another battery in...

                                          Hello,

I just came here to see if someone has had the same problem I have, and if he or she solved It, to know how to do It.

I have made a quick search for my laptop but I have not seen anything similar.

I have an old laptop, an HP Pavilion dm4-1065dx which takes a lot of time to be ready to start if the laptop has been unplugged for a while. It has no battery. The battery failed long time ago. It needs to be plugged to work. But as I said, It can take a lot of time until the charging led gets on, and I can switch on the laptop. I am using an external monitor...

                                          Hi

I have a QN65QN90A which was purchased around launch I guess making it about 1.5-2 years old... had been working fine until a few days ago, simply went black and would no longer turn on (at all). No standby light and no typical PSU relay click etc. Absolutely dead.

Pulled it apart without doing much research first, suspecting the power supply as it had a faint buzz (I guess due to the forthcoming found short), investigated PSU for some time and concluded there was no fault that I could spot with the board removed.

Came to learn after a bit more research...

I have a pair of Pioneer RM-07 monitors that I bought a while ago. When I was testing them I noticed that one speaker would cut out and I thought it was just a bad cable connection. At the price they were being sold for I was willing to take a risk on them. However, 6 months later and the one monitor still has the same issue. Most of the time it works, but there are times that the power LED is on but I get absolutely no sound. I can hear the relay clicking on/off sometimes and then it will/won't work depending on what it feels like. I've tried XLR and RCA inputs with the same issue. There's no...
