Re: Modding gone mad/crazy
Dunno what the lag to display is like on those, but probably not playable if it's anything like modern capture cards. Unless cards back then had a kind of pass-through-to-VGA function, that signal is traveling all the way through the PC, which isn't really quick.Comment

Re: Modding gone mad/crazy
-1 RF output connector
-1 S-Video connector
-1 Composite connector.
This is how my capture card is.For software to capture/view the output of S-Video and Composite I use DScaler and Winfast PVR2.There are also high end capture cards that use composite.(how else would you hook up a console to them then?RF quality on consoles isn't the best and I think those lack S-Video connectors but I don't really know)Last edited by Dan81; 04-16-2014, 01:18 AM.Main rig:

Re: Modding gone mad/crazy
Aye Aye, captain
See that "230 VAC" sticker on the back of the PSU in the first picture? When present, it indicates that you are dealing with an extra extra extra cheap Deer/L&C. On such units, they are cutting corners in every possible way imaginable. That means no 115V/230V selector switch either. I mean, don't you know how expensive those are?
It also most likely has only a single cap per rail and missing PI coils. I've seen many of these. They are so minimalistic that you may as well consider them as "art" (or a miracle, if they run).Comment

Re: Modding gone mad/crazy
am i the only one who noticed the idiot spray-painted the case with the side panels fitted.
look at the mess down the right side.
and it looks like there may be a fan in the top ahead of the psu pointing up - i hate that mod!Comment

Looks to me like a metallic color--the best way would be to paint the panels, together but he could have jambed the chassis, first to help in those areas.Presonus Audiobox USB, Schiit Magni 3, Sony MDR-V700Comment

Re: Modding gone mad/crazy
The worst mod so far that I saw, was the little fan on the outer vent of the PSU! It counter-acts the PSU fan, IIRC... (the fan with the purple sticker)Last edited by RJARRRPCGP; 11-26-2016, 07:29 PM.ASRock B550 PG Velocita

by sda sadHope this is the right place, someone can help me.
My laptop started having a really strange problem....
When I turn it on the fans start working at a crazy rate and with random breaks...
They can work for say 10 seconds and stop for 2 seconds and then turn on again for 5 etc...
And it's from 0 to 100%. I tried to install AIDA and did the processor chip test and the graphics did not exceed 70 degrees and the fans were not even close to working at the power they work randomly.

by marce002Hello
Need just to know how do you guys determine what the problem is, when we have some fluctuating volt, to discard a faulty TPS 51125 , or if the issue is after this IC.
CRAZY JUMPING
PP3V3_S5 = 0v to 3.33 v jumping
PPBUS_G3H = 12.4v to 12.48 jumping a little
PP5V_S5 = 2v to 5v aprox, jumping fast
P3V3S5_ENTRIP = crazy jumping from low volt
SMC_PM_G2_EN = jumping 0v to 3.3v crazy
STEADY
P3V42_G3H=3.39V steady
PP5V1_CHGR_VDD=5.06v steady
PPCHGR_DCIN= 18.29 to 18.31 jumping

Greetings, new guy here but always interested in the crazy universe of modding
We just finished construction of around 25 vacation houses, all inside the same private area.
Each house has 3phase power , and we bought an atlas MK10 meter for each house (25 meters total ! )
The metering on a per-house basis is done privately. Its not done by a utility company. The utility company will only charge us for the total consumption of all 25 houses together.
Id like to do a small modification on the firmware of our MK10 to make it easier identify each house's...05-20-2025, 09:09 AM -
by lapot2Recently, the Raccoon Flash Explorer programmer has appeared.
It allows you to flash BIOS chips from any device without installing programs and drivers, and also very quickly make small changes without a long rewrite of the entire memory to change a few bytes.
Very easy to use and intuitive, even a housewife can handle it.
You can use absolutely any system binary file editor (HxD, WinHex, etcβ¦) on any operating system, the possibilities are not limited by the ugly built-in editor like other programmers.
It has full cross-platform support, works...-
