I got a old Dell Dimension 8100 in from a friend for servicing. The system would power on for a minute max and then turn off. I'd figure I would take a look inside and look for the usual suspects of failure (CPU fan, bad caps, etc.). Upon opening the case I was pleasantly suprised to find that all the caps were quality japanese caps.

Caps on the mobo are Rubycon JXA, Oscon polymers, UCC polymers, and Sanyo's

Inside the PSU were UCC KY, Nichicon, Rubycon YXG
Was this system lucky in getting quality caps due to its age? How are the more recent Dell systems?
