Re: another nasty one
I'm surprised even cockroaches would want to live in there!
Ironically, it's a Compaq. You know there's something wrong when you open up a PSU and are glad to find Teapos.
Why I don't buy cheap cases!

hello, I have this Brother J2730-DW printer that was brought to me by a friend, it was supposed to be converted to continues ink but the printer wouldn't turn on completely. The printer powers on and plays a tune but it gets stuck in the brother logo. Upon checking, the printer was infested by many small cockroaches. I do checked the board cleaned and tested some corroded capacitors but all seems to be fine, I couldn't find any short circuit or any missing component on the board. Also checked the power supply and it was working fine.
please help. -
Hey there,
I am currently working on a hobby project of mine where I try to replace a set of soldered on rams to 16GB just for the heck of it, but I've encountered a problem in the form of a nasty underfill.
Look at the images
What do you suggest?
I've tried to scrape it off with a Qian Li 007, and even to move under a hot air station, but no luck.... -
by KeyResultsRepairing a Roland SPA-120 amplifier, a solid-state early-mid 80's part of the Roland Rack. The PCB is Labled AP-124B. Was thinking lytics would resolve the nasty output on scope but all tested 100% for values, ESR, and leakage (very surprised!). Symptom is nasty wave form on both channels in Stereo mode, but clean in single channel mono (BTL) mode. The Output transistors test ok at room temp, but still could be faulty once heated up. Anyway, a schematic and some test point voltages would sure save some time. Thx!4 Photos

by gurj1979Hey guys,
I've got a Surface Laptop 1769 (the nasty cloth type palmrest) which has a failed 512GB Samsung PM971 (KUS040202M-B000).
These are on BGA291, but I don't know which is equivalent to KUS040202M-B000.
AliExpress has this but it's expensive.
Can anyone help me find a reasonably prices equivalent which I can use as a replacement ?
Or which NVMe can I remove it from ?02-17-2025, 04:02 PM -
by CuriousJohnBurco BCPLSAFWM5L 5 Litre Wall Mounted Automatic Water Boiler With Filtration UK 240v
Does anybody have any experience with these Burco units at all there is no record of them on the forum lol and a proper service manual would be nice. I invite you all to pesuade me not to botch repair it with a 5v relay, read on.
This unit was rescued from a skip 3 years ago, the only fault it had then was no backight display (plus it wanted a new probe set and top seal) but the screen was never an issue you can still see the screen as is and I just use it to get 5 Litres of very hot... - Loading...
