    EVGA motherboard?

methinks they make a strong entrance into the world of motherboards...

    [thoughts]

this is running for 129USD on newegg

Odd to theme a 3 phase VRM setup (low-end) with 3 PCIe x16 slots (very high-end), or is one not wired for x16 transfer rate?

Other than that seems very nice with Solid Polymer caps all over the board just like the DFI Venus...

Actually, you use the middle x16 for single card, and the 2 outer ones for SLi. EVGA is a jetway really.

Why not just do 2 PCIe slots like most other manufacturers?

the silver ones look like nichicon? chris1992 mentioned that they were using lelon polymers on their boards, perhaps those are for vcore?

          any better pic?

one of the chains here is now supplying evga graphix cards but with 3 year warranty rather than the evga lifetime.

            Re: EVGA motherboard?

its probably cheaper to make three slots instead of two slots with the different mechanisms for choosing single or SLi mode. and i think it sounds easier than some of th emotherboards ive seen (albeit it uses up more space then the other methods). hmm...i havent heard much about jetway? do they make good products? this board looks ok...although it seems the price is a bit much for the features....

also, whats a 3 phase VRM? and why is that low-end?

oh and no, i dont know of any better pics, i got that off newegg...

              Re: EVGA motherboard?

This board is also sold as Jetway model 939GT4-SLI-G

              Image downloaded from Newegg.com website

Somewhat bizarrely, Newegg.com sells the red Jetway for $105, but its green eVGA-branded twin for $129. Is there any difference between the two at all?

                Re: EVGA motherboard?

The evga doesn't have a pc speaker onboard and the jetway does
That means $19 to remove a speaker, not a good deal.
free shipping on the evga not on the jetway
