    DC-IN Port, 2 pins/legs help!

ok this is hard to explain but i shall try...

My laptops DC-IN Port broke, and fell right out of the laptop! It's in two peices, I can't figure out how the DC-IN port connected to the MB before...
It looks like it would only have two legs. DC-IN ports can have only two legs?
I have a few 3 leg DC-IN ports, but there totally different. The DC-In came from an old winbook XL2 laptop, has anyone replaced a 2 pin/leg DC-IN or seen one?

I would like to get some pictures of what these 2 pinners look like so i can attempt a repair. i will post some pics, and maybe someone can help me put humpty dumpty back togather again?

Well, DC is only positive and negative so that is pretty logical isn't it? ;-)

Post a pic of how it looks (now)

Typically there is 3 legs, one on the right and left thats negative ( I guess just for stabilty). 1 down the back for positive. I would guess if you just had 1 negative it would still work, never tried though.

TY thats what i was thinking!

but the prob is it seems like it should only have 2 legs, because of the MB, but 3 by the DC-IN port. anyway here are the pics. The one on the right is the broken one. left is the 3 leg im used to. I'm sure you can see were i was having probs...

Thanks im sure i can fix it now, well if i can get this winbook open enough to solder. Anyone work on a winbook XL2? <-That maybe a different post.

thanks for the URL! Well i put the DC back togather, the winbook XL2 got power, well LEDS were on etc... no HD movement no post, DVD rom wouldn't open. It's a start!

              Thanks again guys!
PS: that was with one negative connected... The DC was/is so broke i had to use short wire to connect it to the board. I'll work on it somemore and let ya guys know how it comes out!

Cut off the power cable and solder it directly to the mobo; that is a pro fix

hehe I didn't think of that. I'm to close to the project! Then again if this laptop doesn't work maybe i can off the parts on e-bay, dont know if cutting the DC would be smart. I'm hoping it's just the darn DC and not something else.

no post is not a good sign... I just wanna get this thing fixed for an older man that can't afford a computer. thanks for the urls KC8ADU! i found this http://www.laptopking.com/partpictur...ategory=dcjack it seems the darn thing is 3 pins..

Help with trying to fix phone that is not charging (Pics inside)
                      by SluggerB
I have two TCL A30 phones.

Old Phone: This phone worked fine for years, then stopped charging If you plugged a charger into it, the phone would make the charging sound, the phone would tell you it is charging, but the battery icon would not have the charging symbol in it and the battery would not charge.I tried new battery, same behavior.

New Phone: Works fine, bought as a donor board to try and repair Old Phone

My interest here is to repair Old Phone, using components parts off New Phone if needed. I am not interested in replacing Old Phone with New Phone....

Questions About The Numark MixDeck Onboard DC Port
                      by TurcoLoco
                      Hello all,
I have a Numark MixDeck from 2011. The power supply seems OK but the DC port within the deck itself seems broken or loose.
The device will not power on until the DC connector is inserted and then turned a little counterclockwise then it works but if you touch the cord, poof!

I am guessing the cube shaped DC port on the board is bad and needs to be replace?
Does anyone know what this part is called so I can check on DigiKey or somewhere?
                      TIA...

please help, friend, thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 JDOCK1 type C port 5volt only, thank you
                      by fredyjbi
                      I have a thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 laptop functioning normally with Type 1 port (JUSBC1)
if you use port type C 2 (JDOCK1) with a usb type meter it only displays 5v, thank you
I tried to look at the schematic diagram USBC_VBUS20, which is the port path from JusBC 1 to U4701 then goes to the system2 charging IC, why is there no system2 path leading to the charging IC on the TYPEC_VBUS20 port which is JDOCK1, thank you for your help.

if you look at the power sequence there must be 2 types of port type C a (JUSBC1) via U4701 and port type C b (JDOCK1)
                      On the type...

                      Hi 😄

                      I have a NM-B461 board that doesn't boot up.
                      Current observations:
                      • The board has no obvious damage, corrosion or previous tempering
                      • I measured the voltage on the TYPEC_VBUS20 and USBC_VBUS20 lines (which are the rails that get powered first according to the schematics) - the dock port measures 5V and the direct port 0V.
                      • USBC_VBUS20 (the rail from the direct port) measures 0.3V when powered via the dock port?! There is no short between those lines tho and there is no connection in the schematics.
                      • None of the power rails are shorted to ground

Where to find a very small fpc connector 0.3mm between 2 pins ?
                      by corrize
Hello, I search this connector (oxydated).
It's a fpc zif low profile connector. It come from camera sensor, it is very small : 0.3mm between 2 pins.
I ordered 2 from Aliexpress called « 0.3mm pitch » but one was 0.5mm between 2 pins and the other 0.6mm. In fact « 0.3mm pitch » seams to be the pad width and not the distance between 2 pins.
I can't find it. The other websites like mouser dont show the datasheet, and I can't check if it is 0.3mm between 2 pins ?

Do you know how to find this connector please ? What is the exact name for find it ?
