            Re: nice!

            this sounds good for laptops.
            Bobcat
            Sub-one-watt capable operation
Out-of-order instruction execution for higher performance
Estimated 90 percent of today’s mainstream PC performance in half the area
Core power gating and a microarchitecture optimized for low power
Highly synthesizeable design that moves easily across manufacturing technologies

              Re: nice!

I wonder how long until I can buy either a bulldozer or bobcat CPU?
A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

                Re: nice!

                probably 3-6 months,
they will want to get them out fast before intel can counter them, but it will take a while for the mobo's to be designed & tested.

you probably wont be able to buy a Bobcat chip, it sounds like it's for embedded stuff like controllers & maybe netbooks.
infact it sounds like a response to the Atom series.

EIZO CX270 - No signal but Backlight and Panel works, logo works, admin menu works. OSD doesn't. What?!
                    by vf fa
Hi, so i guess I´ll have to make a new topic here, as i browsed through hundreds of other threads but couldn't find a solution to my problem yet.

I got a EIZO CX270 from a friend. He said it doesn't work anymore and wont display any signal or take any OSD inputs. Well, as an aspiring photographer I couldn't say no, could I? Thought it was an easy game, replace a bad cap and have a working monitor. But nooope, it wasn't supposed to be this easy.

So let me start with the problem description. I'll try my best not to skip anything so this might get rather long.

Garage door module Nice SNA4/A - burnt component
                    by jm1234
                    Hi,
I'm trying to guess what component got burnt on the control board for my Nice garage door motor Nice SNA4/A. You can see it in front of the 2 capacitors. The component is connected across the 36V rectified input wires, maybe it was some kind of protection device?
All the pictures I could find were of the whole product, so enclosed in the plastic box, eg. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123998876212
                    Any help appreciated.

Rebirth of a Pentium II - P6DKF Retro Build
                    by Topcat
It's been a LOOOONG time since I've done one of these.... I've had the case for years, its just been sitting in my office with crap stacked on top of it. It has a Micronics 486 motherboard in it with a DX4-100 CPU.... I was never a 486 enthusiast, I had no intentions of doing a build with it....I only kept it for the case....which someone dropped off for recycling years ago.

Anyway, I recently stumbled upon a Supermicro P6DKF AT motherboard and tested it in 'the oven'. I remember seeing one (or one similar) back in the 90's before eATX was a twinkle in anyone's eyes and wondering...

Corrupted BIOS for HP Laptop 17-cn1053cl
                    by OntarioTL
Completely frustrated with HP and their so called create a BIOS recovery USB stick from their website. Would be nice if Winflash.exe would run like it should. Looks like I'm not the only one who had this problem. Didn't matter what I did to try and get it to load, even with different versions of BIOS firmware for this laptop.

So I pulled the BIOS and attempted to fix it with ME analyzer and Fit tool but wont allow me to load it as it's too damaged.

So I am here hoping someone can help me out with providing a repaired file as I can't even get the damn BIOS from HP....

It's nice to have an easy job occasionally...

While it won't be worth it at all to replace the bulging caps on this Dynex 21" TV, I'm going to do it anyway to keep it out of the landfill. I'll probably end up giving it away but fixing stuff feels good. And yes, I will be replacing all of those PS caps.
