Is this cap real? I see no Rubycon 10x20 YXA 16v 2200uf caps on the datesheet.

Sorry MegaOne302 I missed the part "10X20".
I don't know what to say, maybe they made a mistake in the description.
AFAIK there are no 2200uF 16V with lead spacing 3.5mm and diameter 20mm even for other brands.

looks like they are real.
or the faker went through a bunch of trouble to make them look good which is unlikely.just because they do not show that size in the datasheet does not make them suspect.many mfrs.offer custom sizes .Comment

Re: Fake Rubycon YXA 16v 2200uf 10x20 from eBay?
Some of the genuine Indonesian-made Rubycon YXGs, etc. look a lot like the ones in the pics - I'm guessing they're OK, but it's safer if they're stuck on a paper strip in a rectangular carton, or in a 200 pc. bag with Rubycon Indonesia legends on it.
Cut-lead caps or loose (unbagged) Rubies are suspect, but not necessarily fake. You'll need to do further investigation to verify them.Comment

It's funny because all my new 16V 1500uf MBZ test @ .08/.09 ESR, but the specs says the ESR should be .013. Are the ESR meter readings accurate, showing the true ESR?
I did the two resistor calibration; it's a Blue ESR meter.Comment

Re: Fake Rubycon YXA 16v 2200uf 10x20 from eBay?
Opps, forgot to short the leads to zero the meter out. The 16V 1500uf MBZ now read .01/.00 ESR. Just wish there was one more digit on the display.
The Rubycon 10x20 YXA 16v 2200uf now read .07 ESR, still bad for a motherboard.Last edited by MegaOne302; 06-04-2009, 04:00 PM.Comment

Re: Fake Rubycon YXA 16v 2200uf 10x20 from eBay?
70 milliohms is about right for the 2200/16/10mm YXA - these are probably authentic, and ok for use on the VRM input (+12v) side. However, there are much better caps in similar dimensions - for instance, Panasonic FJ 1800/16/10mm with ESR ~0.02 ohms, which are better replacements for the same application.Comment

by ajdrenterIn my search for a proper 5v heavy ATX power supply, I selected an old Antec SU-380 that I've had in storage for a long time. Opening the power supply reveals a couple bulged capacitors. I removed all the caps and made a map for myself. I found the datasheet for the PCE TUR series in this thread:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14159
It says these are general purpose, so I assume I can replace them with any general purpose capacitors, but I don't really know anything about power supply circuits or reading capacitor datasheets. Despite this, I've been shopping for replacements:...-

by shovenoseWas searching for GPUs. All such a ripoff right now. But just seeing if I happened to find a good deal. Personally I'm fine w/ the (legit) GTX1050 in my main PC. Good enough for the 10 mins of gaming I do every month. But we're trying to build a gaming PC for the BF on a budget and for now I lent him a little Optiplex I stuffed a 1030 in but was just hoping for something better.
Anyway, found this crap: https://www.ebay.com/itm/194206843675
Obviously fake since it has a VGA port. Reported it as well as another one I found from a different seller. I know it's really... -

by DXseekerMOHello everyone!
Recently I've noticed that some ShopJimmy backlight strips don't have double-sided tape installed upon them when an application calls for it, and I must purchase the tape separately. In a recent chat conversation with a customer service agent I told them if this tape wasn't applied when it was called for I would begin to consider ordering my backlight strips elsewhere. It looks like this time may have come.
I recently got a TCL 65S4 with bad backlights. After looking at the SJ listing here: https://www.shopjimmy.com/tcl-jl-d65...365as-m-led-ba...Yes0%1All backlight strips are the same quality0%1No0%0 -
by myth77When i need to replace cpu or gpu or pch ...i mostly order reballed chip from china, but lately there are more broken ones then working.
So lately i tried with ebay "not working motherboards". I ordered a few broken motherboards from ebay but i have found out that there are many scammers on ebay. The most of them are selling already destroyed motherboards with pictures in low resolution, some of them are being scammed and just scam forwarding...
First board i ordered last month was ok. Cpu was dead but i could use gpu and pch. The second arrived 2 weeks ago...and it was... - Loading...
