    Has anyone ever EVER seen.....

    .
..... a situation (on a motherboard) where a 6.3v cap could not replace a 10v cap? (Only concerned with the voltage changing here.)

Seems to me that both 6.3v and 10v are fine on 3.3v or 5v and should be 100% interchangeable.

The only case I can think of where it wouldn't be okay would be a case where a 10v cap that runs from the -5v to +5v rails but I've never seen that. (I imagine they'd use a 16v cap there anyway vs a cap that's rated right at the operating voltage.)

    What do you folks think?

The only position where i could think of the necessity of a 10v cap would be the on board sound stage.
But haven't`t seen this in reality.
Only on ATX PSU`s there is the possibility of may be 7 or 9v prior a linear -5v voltage regulator.

agreed. it should be 100% interchangeable. never seen or experienced otherwise.

somebody familiar with hasboard repairs? BM1397AD interchangeable with Bm1397AG ? S17+ and T17+
        by stormanimal83
i got myself a complete Antminer T17+ with 3 dead hasboards for a very good price.... for parts i bought S17PRO boards.... i replaced all missing resistors and changed some asics because they were bad... but wihout a tester... i used the miner instead and changed firmware to awesome miner firmware for better and faster diagnoses via miner log and lower fan speed...

for my understanding and what i read on the internet these asics should be interchangeable in one chain but in my case i´m getting no more communication to none of the asics on all 3 boards. 2 of the boards weren´t in...

Are laptop keyboards interchangeable for testing purposes?
        by AJ847.63e
        Hi All,

Just wanted to ask for laptop keyboards are the pinouts standardized? Reason why I ask is we have a Lenovo S145 where the G,H,L,' and down arrow keys are not working. I've updated the bios, reinstalled the drivers, confirmed the issue persists in bios and all did nothing. I then disassembled the laptop and can see the fingers that slide into the board side connector all of them are pretty oxidized and two in particular look like they have broken connection.

We've got a stack of "new" laptop keyboards so I was hoping I could connect one of them to...

        Graphics VRAM - are these interchangeable D9VRK D9VRL D9TXS
        by gurj1979
        Hi guys.

I've got a Gigabyte 1080 with a bad D9VRK (B0 according to MATS), not seen this model before, but I've seen plenty D9VRL and D9TXS.

Question is, since I don't have a spare D9VRK, can I use D9VRL or D9TXS in place of the bad D9VRK ? Or shall I replace them all with D9VRL or D9TXS (LONG job, I don't fancy doing that if I can avoid it) ?

There's no info Google about compatibility.

        Thanks.

        Brand Interchangeable mainboards?
        by kalemaroni
I have a Luxor TV with white screen and searched eBay for the mainboard model number and bought it. The white screen persists so I ordered another board in case the first was bad. Same problem.

I then realised that the boards were from Toshiba TVs. Are mainboards from different brand TVs compatible as long as they are the same board number or do they have to be from the same brand TV?

        Interchangeable BIOS chip?
        by Beton
        Hi guys!
This might be a stupid question but nevertheless I would like to know the answer.
Recently I bought a bunch of spare or repair motherboards.
One of them misses the BIOS chip. The chip is the MX25L4005A. Every voltage rails are fine on the motherboard but obviously it won't post without the BIOS. And even with the BIOS chip it's not guaranteed to boot up, somebody removed the ic for a reason.
So I have another one motherboard which has a somewhat similar BIOS chip, the MX25L8005. The only difference is that the former is a 4mbit while the latter is 8mbit chip but...
