Alternatives to Samxon GF/Decon SH at 25V?

I'm looking for cheap but good alternatives to Samxon GF and Decon SH for a monitor PSU. The originals are 25V, 10x20mm, 1000uF and 470uF. Maybe 12.5mm will fit. One capacitor was 16V, but I think I'll just go with all 25V.

So far I see Nichicon PW for cheaper at 12.5x20mm, and NCC KYA and KYB for 10x20mm. Can you suggest other candidates?

I have a preference for panny's caps so ill suggest this one LOW esr and my favorite FR series...

this is for 1000uf and 25v

    and for 470uf and 25v

Yes i love Nichicon MUSE Audio Capacitors...they would look awesome all over any motherboard

Thanks. Don't know if it matters, but these are about half the impedance. But mainly, they're more expensive than the KYA, KYB, and PW.

They are more expensive than the KY series (pun intended) and Nichicon's PW series.... both are pretty good, but i have a soft spot for panasonic and hitachi caps, they are low esr which is what i chose it for you

By the way, something strange I noticed. The Samxon GF 50V 33uF is rated at 0.3R impedance (6.3x11mm case). I can't find an alternative that's that low for this capacitance. A Nichicon PW with 0.43R might still do, but am I missing something? No equivalent low ESR from other manufacturers? There's no 33uF for 50V in many series, 33uF 35V goes for 5x11mm so higher impedance, etc.

if you can get away with 35v then this maybe!

You can use PANASONIC FM/FR series 56uF 50V with the same case size with only 0.140 Ohm Z.

stj, while I assume 35V would be fine too (can't say I'm an authority), polymer caps are far lower impedance, and much more expensive.

budm, 56uF is much higher than 33uF. Also 0.14R may be too far off from 0.3?

Nichicon PW looks like the best match so far.

Thanks. The Panasonic FR is close, but I guess the ripple/impedance figures for the 35V version would be different at other voltages, so maybe it would be off with the actual voltage in use? But anyway, no stock.

The Nichicon HE is actually an exact match. Didn't see it at first both because of bad data in the store parameter fields, and because the 50V version not listed in any store. 35V and 63V are stocked, but not 50V for some reason.

                      Well, PW it is.

This is monitor power supply, not critical. Is this for the startup/running cap?

I still think low eSR caps are the way to go as even if though its a power supply Ina monitor its still critical

as long as the esr isnt so low that the psu thinks it's an overload, it wont be a problem.
this is obviously only going to effect output smoothing too.

                              Hello.
I have 29inch LG CRT TV,And Yesterday,Whenever I connect AC power cord to power outlet without switch on, I heard a sound like white noise, And When I switched on this CRT TV, It sometime displayed correctly But usually It won't last more than 20 minute and The screen begin to dark and It finally did not display at all for hours..
Today,I dismantled its plastic case and discharged the biggest capacitor(400wv 470uf) which still holds 250 voltage, and I finally detached PCB from cathode-ray tube.
I measured ESR value of most of caps in PCB with MESR-100 and I found that KME(25v...

I’m working on re-capping the power board caps on a Klipsch The Fives audio speaker system. I can’t locate a replacement for these original caps that are labeled “Decon SH PET”. I have three of these on the board with the electrolytics. They are supposed to be a film type capacitor, but they look like a radial mount electrolytic. Everything I find they look completely different, usually a square type body. The two values I need are 16V 470uF and 35V 47uF. I’ve got all the other caps in my cart already from Mouser, so if there’s a replacement there, I would prefer to order from...

Old Boston Acoustics subwoofer repair, BJT alternatives
                              by staze
Working on an older Boston Acoustics HPS10SE, and while verifying voltages, I noticed one of the PSU BJTs is getting excessively hot and the voltage is dropping out on the 15V rail. Not sure that's actually an issue (I don't have everything plugged in, so maybe something is saturating on the positive end and dragging that rail down and the BJT overheating is cutting out).

But, figure I need to buy some NP capacitors from mouser anyway, so might as well replace these. They're a H669A and H649A. Pretty "meh". They test fine out of circuit, but I can't really put a load on...

                              Hello everyone!

I am looking for an alternative to the Power-Z USB power meter, like the model KM001. Are there no alternatives to this? Other than other models from the same company? This is a very popular meter that repair pros use.

I have a very simple and inexpensive USB power meter. I think it costed around 20 - 30 USD. I'm looking to upgrade it to one that has the logging and graphing functions like the one I mentioned above. Something in the same price range of 80 - 100 USD. Any suggestions?

I actually have a DC power supply that has a USB port...
