    Doesn't really make much sense to overclock retro motherboards and CPUs, except for the thrill of it I guess.

    If you need something faster, you just use or buy something a bit faster

    Well, then lets call them high End Boards instead of Overclocking Boards...

    Though only a couple are sought after. Like the mentioned Abit, but also many DFI Boards are wanted...

    Overclocking mainboards, cool

    I've never dared to overclock anything, LOL.

    Only the highly regarded OC Boards like Abit NF7 V2.0 and things like that.
    The normal Standard/OEM ones not really...

    I'm thinking "P12343-ND" and "P15335CT-ND" ... I just chose the most expensive, LOL.

    OK I measured them :

    16v = 10.3mm diameter (approx) and 21.3 tall (approx)

    6.3v = 10.1 diameter (approx) and 16mm tall (approx)

    I don't think height is a concern.

    Here is the selection of 16v :

    Here is the selection of 6.3v :

    Can you guys make a recommendation ?

    The coils seems to have 12 turns, that would mean it's a pretty low frequency VRM and might not respond well to polymer caps.
    I'd just make it simple and use Panasonic FM or FR everywhere

    Yes I intend to clean it. it is just dusty from being used back in the day, then set aside. I belonged to my meanest aunt, LOL.

    Do you have anything particular in mind for cleaning it ? I was just going to use compressed air or rubbing alcohol.

    It would be a good idea to completely clean that board BEFORE you start removing old caps and soldering new caps.

    No value? You are not watching the price of these motherboards go up and up on eBay. Especially nforce2 boards.

    w00t

    I think I need to measure the height, diameter, and Lead Spacing ... of each capacitor (once removed). Then ..

    9 caps, 6.3V 1500uF = "polymer" @ the measured size.

    and

    4 caps, 16V 1500uF = "panasonic FM or FR series" @ the measured size.
