    Yet another recapping question

Joy of joys when I pop open my computer one day to find 8 capacitors leaking on the top and 1 visibly bulging (all nine identical), obviously needing replacement. I've checked some of the stores in my area for exact replacement capacitors (1000uF, 6.3v required), and the closest I can find is 3300uF 6.3v capacitors.

So, my question to you experienced-type peoples would be: would this cause any serious problems, replacing 1000uF with 3300uF?

(sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find anyone asking questions about more than a 1200-1500uF gap)

that sounds like too big a step up.
not to mention they are likely too big to fit.

Calculating ESR from tan delta -- tan delta's dependence on capacitance
      by Junkrepair
I'm finally recapping my Soyo K7VX6 motherboard (aka KT600 Dragon Ultra) and replacing Sacon SZ-series caps. The Sacon SZ datasheet provides a spec for tan delta, but not for ESR, while the candidate replacement caps are specified in terms of ESR.

I found this nice little description of the conversion:

      Calculating capacitor ESR from Tan(delta)
      https://forum.digikey.com/t/calculat...-from-tan/2633

It mentions that a general spec for tan delta has to be adjusted for the specific capacitance before plugging tan delta into the formula...

      MSI K7T266 Pro (Ver. 1.0)
      by ssl6
      Hey Everyone,

Long time lurker, but I think this is my first time posting.

Just looking for some assistance on identifying some suitable replacement capacitors for an MSI K7T266 Pro (Ver. 1.0). I just got my hands on two of them actually, both working but one has some visibly bulging capacitors and the other has a few that I can't tell for sure if they're bulging because it's faint at best if they are.

I'll be honest I don't fully understand much on capacitor spec sheets beyond voltage and capacitance but I can solder like nobodies business so I've...

RELAND SUN 6.3v 3300uf Low or High ESR?
      by Oldschool297
I found these, i would only like to try them on a board to see if it post. It don't post at the moment, i guess there are 9 6.3v 3300uf that can be broken. Is these low or high esr? I did not find info on the web.

Recapping Sony ICF-SW55 - verifying cap values
      by proxneo
      Dear reader

I am performing a repair on a Sony ICF-SW55, which includes recapping (some) of the SMD capacitors on the mainboard. I am looking for verification of their values. At the moment, I'm 95% sure I've got the right values, but it is hard to find some official, credible or multiple independant sources on this.

At the moment, I have selected replacements based on the following list of values:

      3 x 470uF 10VDC
      3 x 4.7uF 35VDC
      4 x 47uF 50VDC
      8 x 22uF 6.3 VDC
      1 x 220uF 6.3VDC
      5 x 100uF 6.3VDC

      Which...

      Capacitor Replacement: Advice Needed
      by Uy181
So I have a couple motherboards I am recapping that I do not have capacitor replacements already in my used inventory. I am wondering which capacitors that are currently in production for 2022 that I can use to replace the following capacitors:

"SAM YOUNG" NXC series 6.3v 3300uf
      "Nichicon" HM series 6.3v 1000uf
      "Nichicon" HM series 6.3v 3300uf
      "United Chemi-Con" KZG series 6.3v 820uf
      "TK" ATWY series 6.3v 820uf

      Thanks!
