    Capacitor Replacement: Advice Needed

So I have a couple motherboards I am recapping that I do not have capacitor replacements already in my used inventory. I am wondering which capacitors that are currently in production for 2022 that I can use to replace the following capacitors:

"SAM YOUNG" NXC series 6.3v 3300uf
    "Nichicon" HM series 6.3v 1000uf
    "Nichicon" HM series 6.3v 3300uf
    "United Chemi-Con" KZG series 6.3v 820uf
    "TK" ATWY series 6.3v 820uf

    Thanks!

you probably need to use polymer caps for that

      Re: Capacitor Replacement: Advice Needed

For the 6.3v 3300uf HM series, I spotted a 6.3v 3300uf UHW series that matches the ohms and ripple current rating "close enough" but the 6.3v 1000uf UHW doesn't quite match the HM spec close enough. Are there any guides out there for replacing electrolytics with polymers? The values and specs to look out for. These 6.3v 1000uf caps aren't VRM caps. They're the ones I suspect that are on the 5v rail as there's 10+ of them on each board. The polymer caps I am looking at I'm not sure if they'd work as the spec on the datasheet says they are 6 mOhms at 6.3v 1000uf as opposed to the 28-30 mOhms on the HM series and have a very high ripple current and I don't know if a higher ripple current rating will affect anything. What values should I be looking for?

higher ripple is better - it's the ripple it can handle.

        so higher ripple = better
higher voltage = o.k. but not really needed
higher capacitance is o.k. but not needed
higher resistance = BAD, lower is better

technika tv, 32 inch, capacitor replacement question, useful advice needed
          by rustinjust
I have a technika tv, 32 inch, around 10 years or so in age and last night when watching tv i heard a hissing sound and the next thing i saw smoke coming out the back of the tv, i instantly unplugged the tv. I took the back off tv to expose power board, then plugged in tv and saw smoke coming out of a capacitor, i will try and attach a photo below, see below for attachments of board and cap, and keep reading, maybe you can advise ?

The cap says on it: 105kj450mff4. This doesn't mean a lot to me as i'm an amateur when it comes to electronics, though i've undertaken some repairs such...

Where can I get compatible capacitor for replacement?
          by artvandalai
Blew the capacitor on my analytical balance scale using the wrong power adapter. I need help finding a replacement compatible capacitor to buy. Will any 100uf 40v capacitor work as a replacement?

Need replacement advice for surface mount electrolytic capacitor
          by beogeek
          Hi all,

I have a faulty monitor, the surface mount electrolytic capacitor 33uF 100V needs to be replaced, now I can't seem to source them locally, so my question is can I replace it with a through-hole electrolytic capacitor of the same value? Or has someone got a better suggestion?

          Cheerio...

          KZG Capacitor Replacement Advice
          by tom8352
          Hi there

I have a Winmate DD24-AX DC-DC power supply with a few bulging KZG caps I'd like to replace. I am having trouble sourcing these caps.

          KZG 1000uF 10V
          KZG 1000uF 16V

Can anyone suggest some suitable replacements which are not too costly?

          Photos attached,

          Thanks in advance,...

klipsch kda-500 amplifier suitable power supply capacitor replacement ?
          by r2digital
I have a klipsch kda-500 that would turn on and allow me to get into the web management but it was picking up a lot of noise from audio sources so i decided to replace the smd caps on the power supply along with radial one. Some one was in here before me and they basically burned the bottom side of the traces off for the radial cap but i was able to repair it without any real problem. I thought i did a good job sourcing out replacement caps but apparently not and now i can't get the power supply to turn on it just constantly try's to keep turning on. Attached is a picture of the power supply before...
