    Ceramic cap lable weird??

So I can't figure out the value of this cap? Here's what it says:
    Mexico
    52L
    30K
    1KV

I think its 10, 20, or 30 pf. Not sure though
Any help would be forever grateful! Thanks

    Re: Ceramic cap lable weird??

    it's obviously 1000v
the 30k may be a stability figure.
    52L is a challenge.
    maybe 500pf

    got a foto for size?

30pf would be my thought, also. I believe the 52L is ignored. It could be some sort of manufacturer marking.

Can we see the pictures and also show us where in the circuit it is being used at?

will do pic when I get home form work. It is sort of a brightness cap in a guitar amp. Its a small ceramic cap "normally" 10pf or 20pf but can vary from amp to amp. Mine seems on the dark side but I wouldn't know the difference cause this is the first amp I have owned of this particular model. (Mesa Boogie Mark 3) Hmm....

SO I figured out it says S2L and not 52L
              30K
              1kV
so most likely a 30pf huh?

                I'm fairly certain it's 30pF. The K is the tolerance (10%).

Hopefully, this info is accurate: http://m.wikihow.com/Read-Capacitor

I believe S2L is the temperature coefficient (see page 2).

Is it possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue meter?
                    by chth96
I read EBOOK of Testing Electronic Component and found that

"In order to test the small blue resin coated ceramic disk capacitor which has 104 50v specification,it is possible to test this small ceramic capacitor by making use of analogue meter.
Set to times 10Kohm that has 12v output from the probe to check disorder of ceramic capacitor.
It is not uncommon that testing result of digital capacitance meter is okay,But It show shorted reading when you check it with analogue meter."

Is it really possible to test small ceramic disc capacitor with analogue...

(Weird) BIOS info for HP Pavilion Aero 13-be1021AU
                    by Loki_Fido
                    Hi folks,

This HP Pavilion Aero 13-be1021AU came to me for a repair. And it seems to have a weird BIOS chip. (Pic attached)
I asked my CH341A to read it and doesn't even know what to do with this. We are both very confused.

                    BIOS - XMC 25RU128CH10 (1.8v)

What the heck is this? I looked all over the MB. This is the only bios.
When I asked the NeoProgrammer to detect it, it just pops up an empty screen, and asked me to enter the bios number. And when I did, it doesn't do anything. NeoProgrammer showed me just this SPI ID: 204418. Don't know what...

APC BR1000G battery backup has a weird issue sometimes a bad battery icon and making a weird sound for about 30 seconds
                    by sam_sam_sam
This started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours

After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup

The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old

Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start
