Wow, never seen a blown Sanyo, let alone more than one.. Are they marked as Sanyo WG's??? You might have had a CPU overheat condition there, looks like the caps closest to the CPU suffered the most.. I've got a KT7 with some blown Nichicon HD's on the VRM input side, and it was obviously overheated as the board actually changed color in the VRM section to a darker shade of orange. Of course the CPU survived somehow..

btw this is a transcend board.
        it had good airflow.
i bet the "gutless wonder" AN psu was to blame here.

the psu may have contributed to the failure but caps blowing their bung out is an indication of bad manufacture / poor raw materials. do they look like fakes?

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
            by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Macbook Pro A1707 - Dead - Battery 'popped'
            by AdrenalinTL
            Hi Peeps.

Just a quick question please as I am by no means an Apple fundi at all.

Can a 'popped' battery cause the Macbook to be completely dead? Client said the battery definitely popped. It doesn't look swelled or anything but it doesn't switch on at all. No lights, no fans, nothing.

Also, using a 85W original Apple charger. That is working for sure. Does it need more wattage?

Don't want to go buy a battery for no reason.

Client is adamant is worked before the battery popped and I can't see any damage what so ever on the board...

dell e6540 boots to black screen (no dell logo)
            by jake-b
            good morning all,

i purchased a used dell e6540 laptop used 10 months ago from a vendor on ebay. intel i-7 processor, 16 gb ddr3 memory, 256 gb ssd., mobo la-9413p (rev 1.0 dated 2014-08-04). i've inflicted no damage on it since purchase but its past is unknown. starting 2 weeks ago it began to fail to boot (initially 9 of 10 boot attempts failed, now 10 of 10 fail). there was no new hardware or software added (i was using as a kodi video server). the post process doesn't complete and booting no longer displays the dell logo screen - screen remains black with no backlight. some other...

Mobo MSI B550-A PRO password popup
            by Cerberuska
            Hello guys,
I have interesting problem. My MoBo MSI running on Ryzen 7 w/o graphics just good. I swapped to Ryzen 5 5600G and on the boot I stuck with screen on picture. Enter Password. I checked BIOS setting with Ryzen 7, no security is enabled, BIOS password or TPM.
BIOS I updated to last one.
            any suggestions?
And same thing for two different 5600G, and yes, MoBo supposed to support it.
            Thank you...
