Hello everyone,
Hoping to get some insight on how best to go about overhauling this old Ibanez delay. Its from 1983 so it celebrates its 40th birthday this year, the unit still functions however i heard a high pitch oscillating whine from it a few weeks ago and decided to strip the chassis and have a look.
It looks like the 25v and 16v caps are leaking, there have been a few replacement caps in its lifetime as it has some bi-polar caps installed that differ from the polarized ones in the unit.

Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.
As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right! So let’s take...

Hi everyone. Looking for a few pointers. Above mentioned machine. There was corrosion around the U6300 area, basically from C2842_r to U4910.
The corrosion was not heavy. I have cleaned the effected area, replaced the L6302 as the pads were damaged, so cleaned the pads and replaced the component ( L6200 from a 820-4924-A). Tested all cap's in the area for shorts ( none found)
The machine will only BOOT if the adapter is plugged in. Automatically BOOT's. If the machine is powered down, it will not boot up unless the adapter is disconnected and reconnected. The adapter is detected OK...
