Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Sound but no Picture

As title states, sound but no picture. I have done all of the rudimentary troubleshooting steps- flashlight test no lights visable. Checked Source and it is correct. Tried different, verified good HDMI cable, swapped satellite receiver boxes etc and no luck. I see lots of kits with replacement boards, but before I start throwing parts at it I'd like to know if anyone has suggestions. The brown power board has a couple of spots that are suspect. They are a darker brown circular color. Not sure if that is just from normal use or if something may be burnt. Not sure if a suspect power board is capable of no picture but still having sound or not. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have no backlights, you likely have bad backlights especially in E, H and J model year Samsungs.

When you unplug cable between main and power board do you get backlights?

how bout some good clear pictures of all the boards and one of the whole back as to see how everything is connected and a good one of these burn marks you speak of.

When I took the back panel off, all cables seemed to be secure to my eye. Attached are pics of the power board front and back. If it is the back light or lights, do they typically all go out at once or a few at a time?

What is the output voltage of led driver? If a high voltage appears, and then begins to fall, then the backlight (Leds) is not working.
You have a backlight, like a garland, one LED burns out or breaks, then others stop working.

Samsungs don't have protection shutdown. LEDs will continue to burn out until the screen is too dim, one fails open circuit acting like a fuse or there is damage to the power supply.

you have at least one bad solder joint, picture isnt real clear, theres one just above the word cold, look them all over closely, reflow any that look a little suspect, careful not to bridge anything with the solder, examples of bad joints in case anyone needs it: https://www.google.com/search?q=bad+...ih=607&dpr=1.5

No, I guess I missed that post. But looking back I can see where it was mentioned. So, speculating here, once solder joints are repaired if I do the same test again and the backlights do not turn on, what does that mean?

Is the solder joint your questioning visible in this close up?

check the link in post #8, images of bad joints, could be backlight issue and some bad joints.

If there is a constant voltage of more than 200v, then the backlight will have to be changed.

Thanks. I'm not intentionally skipping steps. I appreciate all the advice so far. I left my multimeter at my friend's house. Had to repair his deep freezer today. I'll grab it tomorrow and check the voltage.

I'm seeing 0 volts between those terminals. So, I assume that to mean there is at least an issue with the power board but there could still be an issue with the back light as well.
