Led tester would probably tell you. It's not always reliable since it doesn't load the leds like tv's power supply.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Again, I am wishing this not be a BL issue since I cannot realistically fix that.
if you upload good photo on the whole back of the TV , from the chassis design can tell how many strips there and do correct calculation

from the chart LED BL one channel Max 120V 900Ma. so we have the Group of 136V are over load.. i remarked the 86V as its correct range

Thank you for the clarification about the voltages. It makes perfect sense.
I think the TV has 5 strips of LED. the picture of the back of TV is attached. If it is not clear, I can see only 5 sets of pin placements on the back on each side.

yes its5 strips, so the group will be 2 1/2 strips , so if you are afarid to take the screen apart. i will explain to you here matter and the rest i will leave it to yours creative ideen.

with out BL socket connected you messured 197V on each group. how ever the chart say max 120 V. so the LEDs are part of the circuit to adjust the output to less than 120V:

yours messurments after you plugged back the BL socket, you got 137V which its overload and one with 86V which to me normal. so the the one 137 are over load.

so with out socket Tv will not work as there are overload or open circuit. but if you get now Normal filament lamp we put it in the way of (N) of the groups which are 137V , this mean LED+ will go direct to the strips and the wire of LED- (N) come back to the socket.. we put the lamps one wire to the LED- coming back from strips and the other will go to the socket direct.

easy way you can try the LED- of the overloaded group cut it before the socket and connect the lamp between. 50 Watt lamp i think will be enough... give try if it work good if not bring the wire back and find some one help with change LEDs

          good luck

Could you possibly share the recovery firmware? I have the same model tv with the same exact issue. Did you ever get it fixed?

The method of restoring hisense to factory Settings: Power off - press the TV button to switch on the AC power and wait for 15 seconds, then the screen will indicate that the system is recovering, you can release the button, wait for 3/5 minutes, if you can't restore the TV, you can only open the TV for repair, in addition, I want a pkg file, thank you!

Surface 7 Pro wont boot, shows Logo and immediately turns off

                  Hello everyone,
as stated in the title, my surface 7 pro wont boot anymore.
When i press the power button it shows the square windows logo for a second and immediately turtns off again.
I dont even have a chance to get into bios or boot from usb.
While trying to find help online it was suggested to look for help/repair here on badcaps and it might be a ME Region corruption in bios.
I dont know what that is exactly, but i never tinkered with the bios or windows in terms of hacking/patching etc.
Bought it directly from microsoft and used it now and then and only...

46PFL5507K/12 - Shows a "Hourglass" logo then turns off the backlight - No sound
                  by IIOSOH
                  Hi,

I'm trying to fix a Philips TV [46PFL5507K/12] for a friend. A few seconds after turning it "ON" a hourglass appears and stays on the screen for around a second, then the screen goes black again, there is no picture nor sound when i connect via HDMI to my PC.

I've opened it up and took a few measurements, but i can't seem to find the correct schematic for this exact model. The official service manual has detailed schematics and info for pretty much every other TV from the series but just some generic information about this exact part number so i measured...

                  TV Model: Hitachi 40HYC42
                  Power Supply: 17IPS71
                  MainBoard: 17MB95M
                  Panel: VES400UNDS-2D-NO3

When the set came in it was dead. Fuse was open primary side and the power mosfet was shorted. So I ordered a new power supply. Now it turns on, only displays "Hitachi" and then power off red and blue led flashing.

I had to modify the 0ohm resistors in the led backlight of the new PS like the original power supply.
Is there any variants on 17IPS71 power supply's?

I am extremely new to programming and dipping into this. I picked up a XGECU T48 Programmer and have the correct socket for EMMC.
I took the EMMC off a working main board with no problems and threw it into the programmer. I click analysis IC and it gives me a report (attached) of the current EMMC. Model H26M41204HPR

                  1) I manually found this chip(above model number) in the select IC section of the XGPRO 12.xx programmer software and it had a option for 4 bit and 1 bit. I chose 4... is this correct?

                  2) In the options section point number 2 operation says "30...

Dell latitude 5320 corrupted bios repair
                  by wwbielsko
                  Hi,
I got corrupted bios bin file, which way is correct to repair.
File puts errors on Me Analyzer and cannot open in FIT.

To open in FIT I made:
                  1. Extract MFS and EFS using MEAnalyzer from other bios file with the same parameters
                  2. put it in HxD to my file
                  3. MEAnalyzer shows 1 error after that
                  4. file opens in FIT

                  and:

                  A:
                  1. extract current dell bios on website
                  2. put System BIOS with BiosGuard v1.30.0.bin using FIT
                  3. MEAnalyzer OK no errors
(this version shows only logo at bootup - freezeing)...
