Re: RCA LED46C45RQ,Sound but no Back lights
THIS RIGHT HERE "What does the BL-ON voltage do on CON4" they want you to check the voltage on that pin, when tv is in standby and powered on, it's really pretty simple.Comment

Make sure all the backlight connections are clean and not loose and have no resistance.Comment

Re: RCA LED46C45RQ,Sound but no Back lights
Did you measure the voltage on the big cap both in standby and powered up? CAREFUL HIGH VOLTAGE, for those looking on that might not know.Last edited by nomoresonys; 04-11-2022, 03:39 PM.Comment

not sure but some of your solder joints look a little suspect on that board, might want to touch them up a little.Comment

Re: RCA LED46C45RQ,Sound but no Back lights
Since you have the panel off, power up the led's with the TV's power supply and not if any led's are not the same brightness before it shuts down.
The backlight tester only provides about 10~15 ma of current and also does not monitor the current like the power supply board does, I suspect a led is failing when provided with a higher operating current.Last edited by R_J; 04-11-2022, 04:38 PM.Comment

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by sam_sam_samThis happened last Saturday and today I finally had time this morning before I went to work to replace two non brand capacitors
I will let you be the judge weather or not these are bad or not according to the blue ESR meter that I am using
I am comparing them to a brand new one that I installed
The display came back on and the programming was not lost which I was surprised by I would have thought that when the display went blank that so did the memory as well
I going to let it run for several days before I remount back on the wall next to the... -
by droneratHi Guys,
This forum has been in great help to me, but I stumbled upon a strange problem with a salvaged Samsung TV that I am banging my head to troubleshoot.
PSU: L48S6 FHS BN44-00807D
T-Con: BN95-01937A
Panel: CY-GJ048HGLVLH
MB: NA (Currently as the TV is assembled and forgot to take picture)
As I said earlier I have some issues with the TV I got from a friend of mine. The TV had no picture, but sound, back light and everything else was working fine.
It was sent to an authorized service for repairs and returned with the... -
by MusictuffMy LG tv started going dark a few seconds after powering on. I replaced the led back lights after doing the flashlight test. The problem I am having now is the bottom of the screen is really bright and the middle to the top of the screen is darker. I can actually see the individual leds at the bottom of the screen. Not sure why that is. I've tried lowering the backlight setting but I can still see the led's at the bottom, and the middle to the top of the screen gets even darker.

Hello to the forum.
My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.
So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.
To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.
So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...-
