Hi all,
I’ve followed all the info I can find on the site and I’m hoping if you guys could tell me which you think is broken.
So to start, when the power button is pressed the relay engages and the red optical light illuminates for about 3 seconds before the relay disengages. It does this all the time no matters how many times you try or after leaving it unplugged for prolonged periods. The LG logo stays permanently lit with no fading when the power is connected
So I followed the power supply and t-con test procedure and the power supply gives out the correct voltages at all times with the jumpers installed.
If I connect the panel to the t-con and power up (with the main board disconnected the whole time), the screen lights up with a few horizontal lines across it after 10 or so seconds. Over the course of the next 10-20 seconds the whole panel gets the horizontal lines and then they begin to flicker, at which point the t-con begins to click and I disconnect the power. I’ve carried out no further testing.
Does this point to a bad t-con or bad pannel?
Thanks very much for taking the time to read
