Sony 65W850C Android TV in endless bootloop

    Hi

I have a Sony TV, model 65W850C, I didn't update the firmware or messing with the firmware when the fault occurred, it just happened when I turned on the TV the screen was flashing under the option to select what I wanted to watch, HDMI devices, TV or Netflix. I restarted the TV trying to fix it but when the TV rebooted, it was showing the four circles and then reboot endlessly.

I have tried factory reset by pressing power and volume down buttons and plugged in the power, that didn't work.

I read online there were many people having the same issue but there was no solution to it. I wonder whether this is due to the firmware corrupted and whether I can rewrite the firmware to the eeprom? Have anyone tried that or know how to fix this?

    Thanks
    Andrew

the only way i know is to connect it to a pc through serial port and going mad trying to access the famous Android shell, but this depends how are hard the protections made by Sony if there are..

What is the best way to fix this, is the only option to replace the main board?

The first method is to learn by Sony or other sources if there is a key combination to let the upgrade to digest or in other sing try all combinations that comes in head, then if it doesn't work mainboard change..

Could very well be that the firmware is corrupted. You could also see if the main board has a place to hook up a TTL. Then you could maybe see why she freaks out. I am guessing due to a kernel panic. The TV should have an EMMC. I don't think the EMMC is faulty, because it still starts the TV. In any of my cases if the EMMC was bad, there was no boot, period.

I am not familiar with this model, but typically you can download firmware from Sony, copy it to USB, plug USB into TV, then force firmware upgrade. You can google for more details and watch youtube videos.

I have tried to hook up a usb key with the firmware, press the power and volume down buttons and then turn on the power, but the tv didn't boot far enough to be able to load the usb.

I tried finding the thread you are talking about but couldn't find it under Brucetv posts or any posts he commented. Do you have the link?

No software or firmware update has been done. It just happened when I turned in the TV oneday.

if you take notice of the actual upgrade version maybe with the next version the method will work, unless you haven't found a new board.

Try to contact Sony to ask methods to restore sw memory, it is possible that Sony would consider some maneuvers of property of his assistance centers , the other solutions the reprogram directly on the flash mrm and system access through pc but are both problematic and not for novice users..

Diagnosed this TV as having a failed main board which I've replaced with one from a KDL 55HX850. They are (supposedly) the same board.

Being 'Smart TV' it requires a firmware reboot when you swap out boards such as T-Con or main board. It starts with a black screen and flashing yellow and green LEDS, indicating it needs that firmware boot. The procedure described all over the web is to put the software into the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive and it should load that up once plugged into USB1 port. But not for me. I can see the LED on the USB chip flash for about...

I'm looking for the official stock firmware for the Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A30 tablet with the following version:
                                          • Firmware version: RV02RC07
                                          • Region: WW GEN1 (WorldWide)
                                          • Chipset: MediaTek MT8163
                                          • Android version: 6.0

I've searched various sites but couldn't find this exact version. If anyone has a working download link or can share the firmware, I'd really appreciate it.

Hello. Have a 55" Hisense TV that starts to load the Android OS (no backlight issues) -> reaches the app screen where you can view the assorted icons including Netflix and always crashes at the same point just after this launch. If I quickly press the cursor buttons, the cursor can navigate to the settings menu but will power off just after a few seconds of this activity. Do not believe it is power related since the crash is very accurate in the boot cycle.

After the OS 'crashes', the power does go off and the from white LED goes dark for about 20 seconds and then ON again....

                                          HI guys

I got here a Sony 65X950G - I tried to find any repairs guides for this model but not many online

                                          here is the issue
I have Sony and android logo. but then 4 led red flash lights front of the tv

I have 3.3v ref. 12v reg then T con 12v when I press the power on button
but then I get black screen and 4 red flash light at the front LED
but I get 3 led flash on the LED driver board.

I check that few X900F or C YouTube repairs, seems that if you have 4 led red flash it could be due of LED black light error
                                          so I tried...
