Yes, but after putting the old one back the laptop has 20v again ( but the problem with low gate voltage)
Sorin has also tries replacing 2 chips from another laptop and was stuck at 5v and after soldering the old chip - 20v there.
I am not sure what the Problem is then with the new chips from ali express and in sorins case original chip from another ( not lenovo ) Mainboard...Leave a comment:

Hello, did I understand this correctly:
Every time we have problems with the gate voltage and the culprit is the TP chip, after replacement we need to reprogram the EEPROM?
I also had many ThinkPads with these problems (and still have some). After replacing four new chips I only get 5 V. Until now, I have used Sorin’s method, just bridging the mosfets, but I would like to know the real solution with new TP chips.Leave a comment:

No, i am not using it, But i am planing to get the Programmer. NPCX Chips are supported without desoldering the chip. For the
MEC15xx and MEC17xx is only a matter of time when they wil also be supported without desoldering.
I am not sure what vertyanov is doing and if he is doiing anything to get the support for this chips....Leave a comment:
