    JVC LT-49C870 (B) line on screen ?

Hi all, I haven't actually got this tv yet, I just thought I would ask about the problem in advance of getting it.

It's a JVC LT-49C870 (B) and it has a vertical line running from top to bottom on the right side of the screen. I'm hoping it's a tcon board but would appreciate any input. I've googled the model for the boards and uploaded pictures of them .

It's a Vestel TV and a single line would suggest faulty panel not tcon.

Thanks for your input, I have the tv here now, I had a feeling it was going to be the panel before your reply (only because ive got the same issue with a Hitachi 4k I've got. I'm still going to have a mess around with it to see if I can get it any better . I'm not on a mission to blow it up or anything lol but what is the worst that can happen if I stick a similar tcon board on it ? It's got the same fittings & looks pretty much the same apart from various components missing , also it's from an LG49UF850V ..

Just making sure before scrapping the tv, the original picture I uploaded looked like a single line , I still have a feeling it is the panel but I would appreciate it if you could check out my photo as it isn't a single line but a cluster of lines in the same area of the screen ...

Sony 8K XBR-75Z8H White Screen Vertical Bars Tcon Code. Help Needed🙏
          by Daren87
          Hello everyone,

I've recently been given a Sony 8k Z8H. It's got a white screen with two vertical black bars. At times it's given me the 5 blink Tcon code. Testing voltage on the Tcon I can see some low or missing voltage. I've done a basic visual check of cables and the COF. Not seeing anything obvious. The original Tcon seemed to have good caps until turning it over. On the bottom I found maybe 10 caps with both sides of the caps shorting to ground. I thought ok these caps and likely other components on the Tcon are shorted so let's try a replacement Tcon. I just received the...

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
          by Kiberge
          HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Lg TCon test pins for screen test
          by alltvrepairs
          Hi,
i have a 65 Panasonic TX-65HX710E using vestel 17MB170 main and Lg tcon.

Few drops of water fell probably near COF and have no display. Tried removing tabs but no.part of display present as if tcon fuse open. However 12v is present and tcon can be felt warm enough that supplies are present. Backlight and sound ok.

Anyone knows if this TCon 6870c-0805A has any special test pins for rgb test?

          Appreciate your help....

To fix laptop screen vertical line by working on its EDP cable
          by almarhum
Has one here really gone through fixing laptop screen vertical line(s) by repairing/replacing its Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable, so would recount and share the complete steps of the process here now?

As most, if not all, believe the laptop screen vertical line(s) caused by defective Embedded DisplayPort (EDP) cable which slipped and passed through either laptop screen hinge but post here is asking help to elaborate definitively the useful, real knowledge of repairing in the most complete, correct way, esp. can decide/determine whether the cable can still be fixed or must be re...
