    Vizio 50” M48-C1 picture problems

This tv would not power on. I replaced the main board and got it on but the picture is distorted. When the Vizio logo comes on it is split and shows up with half the V on each edge of the screen. Can someone tell me what the problem is?
I've checked the ribbon connections and they look fine. Wiggled them and no change in the picture. Is this a t-con board problem?

Do you have a zoom setting? kind of looks like it's zoomed way in.

Could be, did you match up the numbers on the stickers of the mainboards not just the board numbers?

Wrong board. They sent me a board for M50-C1 and my tv is M49-C1. I noticed it as I was putting up the packaging and saw what was on the sticker.

Fat thumbs typing on phone. It should read M49-C1. So I guess it’s actually a 49” tv.

Wonder if it can be adjusted in the service menu on this model? BUT it's easy to brick a tv if you do the wrong thing in the service menu.

Anyone knows how to get to service menu on M series? Just got a M70-c3 to replace P602UI-B3 main board (shopjimmy claims compatible) but right hand side LEDS are not working. Swapping left and right Led set results in the Same; leds are good.

Note this TV doesn't have CH+ / CH- on the TV. It has Input, Vol-, Vol+ and power. Tried EXIT 123, Menu 1999 last, Menu 2489... Nothing seems to work

Vizio M70-C3 Half picture is bad, main board on its last leg?
                      by gavric
Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.

When tv powers on vizio V logo shows nice on whole screen. picture 1
When it goes into tv mode it only shows good picture on left side of screen, right is all scrabbled up. pic 2
When i start youtube picture shows on left side fine, right is all scrambled. pic 2
When i click video to start playing picture goes black(like when you change...

                      Samsung UN55TU700DFXZA Distorted Picture
                      by ChattFix
I have a Samsung UN55TU700DFXZA with a distorted picture and I thought it was a bad panel. I had a similar board with one number off and still tried it to see what the issue could be. The picture came out clear with only missing blue hue I think. I found a replacement board for $30 but wanted to learn if this would be the main IC or possibly something else. I don't have service manual so looking to learn about these cheap sets....

Vizio M65-E0 No Picture, No Sound
                      by ggil44
Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Vizio m65-c1 picture flashing on and off on the screen
                      by maricm
                      HI all,
hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
Backlight stays on all the time,
                      Sound works fine.
screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.
