LG 47LA6200-UA No Picture - has audio

I recently fixed my Samsung plasma with the help of RJ and TV Timmy so I decided to try another project. This LG 47" was given to me by a friend. When I opened it up, the HDMI IN 1(ARC) input jack fell out. I'm guessing this is probably not the cause. All of the caps look good. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

You said no picture. Do you get backlight or audio? If you turn the TV on and put a flash light onto the screen, do you see picture? You may need to turn off the lights and the picture will be very faint. You may also have a very quick half second flash from the screen as well.
These TV sets use backlights that often fail.

Maybe start with testing the voltages at the connector on the powerboard with the cables all hooked up, it's the connector that the cable from powerboard to mainboard hooks into, most times there's a legend/map nearby that gives the expected voltages, you measure them with your mutimeter, set meter to 20 vdc then report them, put neg probe on chassis metal ground, pos probe on pin of connector, measure in standby take note, leave probes where they are then power on tv and again take note of voltages, report them here, example pin 1-ps-on-0 volts standby-power on-3.3 volts.

Thanks nomoresonys and Nick's TV! It's doing exactly what you described Nick. I get the flash of the LG logo then the screen is dark but picture is there and can be seen with a flashlight. How difficult is the backlight replacement?

It's disassembled. Will order the LED's and see what happens.

The backlight replacement is unfortunately the most time consuming repair in a TV since you do have to completely take it apart.
that being said it's not all that tricky as long as you keep your screws and parts organized properly during the dissasembly.
I don't have a video available for you for the entire dissasembly, but shopjimmy does below:

Just thinking, is the backlight circuit designed such that all the LED's go out if just one LED fails? If not, I may have jumped on this fix too fast instead of
checking for power going to the LED's.

Most likely 1 of the leds is out and only just 1. Only replacing 1 would fix it technically.
I do not recommend only replacing 1 LED or even 1 strip. As a rule of thumb, if you have 1 bad LED's you have to assume all others are on the brink of failure. Opening up the TV set down to the LED strips is enough work that you don't want to do it again if you don't have to, and trust me you will have to if you only replace the singular LED or strip that went out.

Good fix, make sure to turn down the backlights level (Not Brightness) to as low as possible on all inputs, also turn off any auto backlights settings, it will extend the life of the LED's.

The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

Hi members, I came across this forum when searching a fault on my LG 55UB850V TV.
Rather than hi-jack another members post/thread I thought I should start my own even though it's an almost identical issue.

The thread I refer to can be found here:
                          https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-s-help-please

My boards are the same, and my issue it the same. I have NO Picture and NO Sound. Nothing. When first turning on the TV at the...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)

Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

                          Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

                          First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                          by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                          Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

                          by WayOfTheRoad
Hello, everyone. A neighbor was throwing this TV away for "not turning on" so I asked for it and they gave it to me for free since Vizio gave them a new TV under warranty.

I'm pretty proficient with electronics in general but this is the first TV I've ever tried to fix. I strongly suspect bad LED lights but figured I'd post some info and see if those of you more experienced with TVs can confirm my suspicion before I move forward. Some photos and measurements below:

The power supply only has two outputs, one output cable going to the main board and the other...
